It is not all about the result to me - do you really think I didn't already know that Jay & Aliona would win this poll hands down before I constructed it?? Of course I did. Jay breaking wind against any other dance would win here so a victory for him is in no doubt at all. That is why I have said since Week 3, time without number, that assuming this forum reflects the opinion of the general public, Jay will win Strictly. Betting men should only think about who will come second - but even then I was practically shot down with shouts of "you can't assume anything".
What is far more interesting is the mix of opinions being offered. After all, this is a discussion forum and, as the saying goes "it's good to talk". For example, one poster declared this poll "very flawed". Whilst I respect his/her opinion, I do not share it. How can something based purely on opinion (NOT fact) be "flawed"? Is nothing on this earth allowed to go up against the "great" Jay?? On another note, Nina said Peter's Charleston would have beaten any other of Jay's dances apart from the jive - that opinion will not be shared by many here. Another said (honestly) they simply prefer a jive to the charleston - so they based their vote on dance-based reasons. And so it goes...
THAT is why I bother...”
😑😑 My comment was slightly in jest....not to be taken too seriously hence the

emoticon. Not sure why you took my comment and grouped it with what others might have said 😑 " you and many others "
Like someone else said, Jay's jive will stand the test of time. It was perfect : great technique, perfect music , costume, characterization. .. everything just came together on that night. He and Aliona looked like 2 professionals on that dance.
Peter's Charleston was very good but a tad overmarked; especially given the fact that on Len's Lens it was blatantly obvious that there were a few synchronization issues.
The two dances are not even worthy of being compared imo but since they're the highest scoring dances of the competition so far I guess I can understand the comparison
