Culinary road trip.
What a novelty.

I think Ainsley may have his work cut out there. Len went on Room 101 wanting to put foreign food in. He said his favourite food is ham, egg and chips and couldn't see why anyone would want to eat anything foreign .

That's why I was a bit surprised he told someone (forget who) at the weekend that they were like his favourite pizza

Was that said in a complimentary way? If so, and given Skyrah's comment about him never having had one, what's going on?

(I do know, obviously - script writer issues, if it was a compliment.)

Oh goody, the BBC are still trying to come up with more vehicles for Loveable Old Len to showcase just what a thoroughly decent bloke he is and satisfy the public's endless demand for more programmes featuring Len Goodman...

Len's always up for a pizza the telly action.
I remember when Len was the genial old gentleman dancer's mentor type judge. Then he started doing Dancing With The Stars too and became a crabby and potty-mouthed "old git."

Oh, that never even occurred to me. D'oh! Sorry.

I've been seeing these shows while I was off the last few days. How does the BBC justify putting the two of them together, then expecting one to judge the other impartially? Bit sad really - not the show itself, which is a tragedy, but this particular pairing.

Though actually this is a bit like introducing your gran to sriracha and filming the hilarious results, so maybe it'd never be funny.

If you went to some far-flung country and introduced remote tribespeople to Haribo and Cottage Pie, then laughed at the silly faces they pulled it wouldn't be tolerated. nor should it. If you do it to a UK pensioner then it's fair game, I guess.

I've no time for any of the near two dozen cheap to produce cookery shows on the BBC, what we don't need is any more.

A really awful show. Predictable premise i.e. "Grumpy old bigot experiences new cultures and finds how they are not as fearsome as he'd predicted." Yawn.

Quite frankly, if anyone needs to be exposed to new cuisines it's somebody like Len. I feel sorry for anyone who's afraid to even eat a pizza - they are missing out on so much. Foreign muck indeed!

When he was eating Peruvian food somebody should have pointed out that the potato is native to the Andes. Once he finds out I wonder if he'll chuck up his fish and chips in the future?
