I've read one of Lord Sugar's books and can easily believe it was written in 24 hours.

Seriously, he's a bright guy and assembling a satellite box or computer is not hard. Many hobbyists build their own PCs after choosing their own components. By the time Lord Sugar picked up a screwdriver, the parts would all be sitting in front of him like flat-packed furniture.

The Apprentice tasks are not inherently technically difficult -- and experts are on hand to do those parts that are (eg candidates design a phone app, but the app design company actually codes it). (Not to say that selling is not a skill, of course.)

What makes them hard is the artificial constraints -- daft deadlines; sleep deprivation and so on.
In reality though no one sets up a business, creates a product and sells it within the space of a day/two days.

I love April

I'll be visiting her restaurant, but no way will I be spending £9 on a salad.

That could easily be the cheapest thing on the menu.

I wondered why a lot of the lads went on the YT scheme.. I went to 6th form then college. I even had to work during the summer holidays..the arguement was if I wanted extra money I had to earn it.

Sometimes I wonder if todays generation would even consider that, there are some that would and well done to them. But I see so many of them in my town that leave school with nothing and couldn't care less.

My sister works a lot harder than my dad, so I don't think it's a generation thing.

There's plenty of middle aged people who refuse to work and there often seen on benefit programmes, so we can't pretend it's only the young.

Did you ever consider the fact that it could just be the town you live in?

Wouldn't mind forking out more, I just expect more than a salad in return
