I expect that the Pro's will already be working on the areas that Ian has spotted. Certainly for Ballroom, it is not necessary for the Pro to look at their celeb dancing to see errors. They will be felt. For example, an experienced male Pro dancing in hold knows whether the topline is good, whether the lady is back weighted, off balance in pivots, usually they know whether heel leads are missed or not.
Where SCD is concerned, I always think its like glossing over / papering over the cracks. There is not enough time to teach everything, or anything 100% properly so they just need to learn the routine and get the standard as high as they can in the short time available. Doing this all in under a week is fantastic really
