End of Vodafone contract
london79
11-11-2015
Hi all,

After about 12 years with Vodafone I have decided to move elsewhere seen as they won't offer me a decent price on a 6s contract.

My contract ends 23 December. So am I right in thinking this months bill will cover my final months line rental? I am really confused as I have had a few chats on the phone to them and they say my last bill will be January. Every time I call I get put through to the retention team and have the same boring chat saying they can offer discount on any phone but the 6s I dread to think how long I will be on the phone before they let me cancel.

I plan to give my 30 days notice on the 22nd November.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Have you found a better deal elsewhere yet on the 6s?

Going to Tesco - No upfront cost more data per month - £42.00 per month.

Vodafone want to charge me £50 for the phone and £44.00 per month with 2gb data.

After 24th November (therefore last month of the contract) call and ask for your PAC. They might offer a discount there and then, but if not, Voda will almost certainly call you back a day or so after requesting the PAC with a better offer. It'll be a random 08080 number. When they call answer it - they're the ones that can actually offer good discounts!

And if they don't then you'll have the PAC ready to give to Tesco once you've had the new device. You'll have to pay up until 23rd Dec with Voda so no point in using the PAC straight away when you request it, or you'll waste the last month.
