It is this kind of guy - alpha male / unfriendly - that I would hate to work with...

Imo he is an arsehole

I know he's the rugby loving, football hating, military man know it all that I despise. Coupled with his stupid accent I don't think I would get on with him. He was quite vociferous in the first task but in the tasks between then and tonights he's had a fairly low profile.

Rugby loving, football hating is a good description

I thought Brett was excellent tonight

I wonder to whom - if anyone - he would have delegated the 'on your knees gum scraping' job if there had not been a woman around to delegate it to.

He wanted to seem uber macho tonight, posturing his way around the football ground ordering his two minions about. I can't believe I am about to side with Selina but surely it made sense to scrape the gum up first before doing the pressure washing because as soon as the water hits the gum it will make it wet and harder to clean?

And the first thing they should have done was paint the lines then go about cleaning, giving time for the paint to dry before finishing off with the pressure wash.

Too persnickety, which may be useful in some jobs, but not most.

I think he did well this week. He's now on my radar as a contender.

I thought he did pretty well. I don't particularly like him, but there are far worse still in the process.

He was organised and made decisions quickly I'll give him that. I think having Elle as the opposing TL helped him a lot though as she was just totally useless. Still, there are definitely weaker candidates than him who will probably go first.

Don't like him, he's far too rigid in his approach and thinking . Of course he did well in this task, it's what he's used too . The same for Joseph in the other team .

Give himself and Joseph other tasks and they don't have a clue .

Irritating as hell although it seems he'd be a good choice if you needed a tradesman,

That's a good point actually, considering his previous jobs this was a task made for him. He was also helped by the opposition having an absolutely clueless TL who looked so out of depth it was embarrassing at times.

I'd say he's middle of the road, nothing more. He'll be exposed as time goes on I think.

I'm not his biggest fan, but I can see him getting to the interview stage at the very least.

I think thats a little harsh-I dont think he suffers foolishness at all and hes not a ditherer. His team won today because of his leadership IMO.It seemed to me that some others in his team didnt want to get their hands dirty and do practical tasks they saw as beneath them and he put them straight!

I think he did well this week. He's now on my radar as a contender.
Definitely-I really could see him winning the show as hes a good balance between being business savvy but being client focused.

Werent him and Selina allegedly reckoned to be the house couple
Untrue totally. No Way is that the case. Look at his Twitter hes a married man with a child!

You can't pressure wash paint that hasn't completely dried, you'll just wash the new paint off the concrete. Water dries much faster than paint, so they should have pressure washed the stairs first, then the seat rows. As soon as the stairs were dry the lines could have been painted.

Brett is good at following orders. Exactly. To the letter. It's all about making sure his arse is fireproof. A very military attitude. It doesn't matter if you are doing the wrong thing as long as you are doing what you were told to do and can prove it in triplicate. When it came to deciding what his team should do he became obsessed with doing a perfect job, ignoring what the job actually required. Line painting was essential, chewing gum cleaning was not.

I thought I read it was Mergim and Elle? Mrs project manager and her sub-team leader this week.

He looked gorgeous shirtless as shown in that reward but man he would be a tough thing to be with. Way too rigid.

Brett is obsessed with delivering the details (or "specifications" as he kept banging on about in week 1) and yet he failed to clarify the brief from the guy at the football ground. That's a basic error from someone who works in the building trade. Whenever I've had builders or decorators around they work out every minute detail before giving you a quote - are they going to paint the ceilings? What type of paint are they going to use? Who's responsible for disposing of what? - so that there is no confusion on either side and the job is delivered exactly to (as Brett himself would put it) specification.

The chewing gum assumption cost his team a lot of time and a bit of money, but also ate up time that could have been spent earning money elsewhere. It was actually a pretty big error on Brett's part - but one he got away with as Elle's team were simply catastrophic.

I don't like his attitude generally - as others have said, his military background often plays to his disadvantage (although it has clearly instilled disciplines in him that are useful). He's very rigid, doesn't strike me as creative or flexible and has a nasty, bossy, demeaning attitude - you can't just order people around in business the way he does, even if you're the one in charge. I also haven't forgotten his sexist comment on the opening task about how women would be poor on the task because they wouldn't like stinky fish.

I think he may well reach the interview round - there are still several candidates who deserve to go before him, for sure - but a winner? I don't see it at all.

I like him..he is a typical military man. He wants to do a job properly. I have to admit I would have assumed that cleaning up the stands would have meant scraping up the chewing gum. Why would you clean the place and leave that? That's not doing a proper job and I agree with him about that. They should have organised it a lot better so they could have completed it
