He's a great soldier-does what he is told, sticks to brief rigidly and takes pride in a good job. I'd hire him in a flat minute as a builder but as a business partner I'd be worried about his initiative when things go wrong.

Is he the one who came up with the word 'self-preservate'? If so, no, I don't like him. Not in this show, anyway - he might be perfectly nice in everyday life, but he doesn't seem to have any kind of professional aura about him.

He's ok, even Karen on YBF defended him when they tried to blame him for the negativity. She said "at least when he voices an opinion, he then gets on a does what's asked"

He seems hard working and a "straight shooter" a bit like Richard, he doesn't seem to suffer fools and will say it as it is. His point about "it's all based on the individual" is true to some extent, in that should you perform badly and your team loses, then your in the firing line. Unlike Selina he realises that while that's true, you still need to pull together and win as a team, not just moan constantly about how life is so unfair.

Brett's idea of professional is military professional not business professional.

He seems to be a bit out of his depth and tries to be cerebrally more impressive than he actually is.

A good bloke to have a pint with, to go into business with not a chance.

He's not out of his depth in the least, he has shown leadership qualities and got things done.

He's one of the only people not out of his depth in the this process.

After last night, he's become my favourite.

I liked him until yesterday. He came across as an aggressive prick.

I hate Brett now.

Not because he's bad or because he's a prick or anything like that.

But TWICE now he's been brought back in over Selina meaning twice her ass has been saved...essentially thanks to his existence. Damn you Brett and your ability to unwillingly protect Selina.

I like him..he is a typical military man. He wants to do a job properly. I have to admit I would have assumed that cleaning up the stands would have meant scraping up the chewing gum. Why would you clean the place and leave that? That's not doing a proper job and I agree with him about that. They should have organised it a lot better so they could have completed it
I agree with this. That's the difference between him and the rest of the 'salesmen' on the show who just want to move on to the next sale whether they delivered a good service or not. Having said that he's clearly not a contender. He's far too rigid and seems difficult to work with.

I'd hire his building company too, but I'm amazed he makes any profit. You can't make money by doing things to personal standards way above that required. If you charge for a first class service and the customer is willing to pay for it then fair enough.

Brett's idea of a proper job was rather exposed with his fish cakes.

^^ not sure I understand, so you'd rather pay less and let some "trained chimp to fix your roof" or a decent price and get a good job. You'd end up on watch dog complaining that the "highly qualified Irish guys you hired to tar mac your drive, did a rubbish job"

Just wrote almost the same thing in the thread about the episode.

From what we saw on the show, I see no possible justification for Scott deciding to bring Brett back into the board-room instead of Selina.

Utterly bizarre choice based on what we saw and heard.

I thought he did pretty well. I don't particularly like him, but there are far worse still in the process.
They may be less capable of BSing but nobody is worse person.
I think he did well this week. He's now on my radar as a contender.
I think you are either joking or mad.
I don't think I would personally get on with him, but I admire his business principles and doing a professional job
I haven't seen any principles, quite the contrary. He's selfish and unprincipled, Dog eat dog, and I'm alright Jack.
I'm not his biggest fan, but I can see him getting to the interview stage at the very least.
If he gets to interview it will be to be humiliated. I don't approve usually but I shall (shamefully) enjoy his
He looked gorgeous shirtless as shown in that reward but man he would be a tough thing to be with. Way too rigid.
Gorgeous! He's revolting.

If he were typical of military men we would be speaking Spanish love.

So no I dont like him, I think he's idiotic, aggressive, arrogant and he demeans women and anyone he perceives as weaker than him. He's a horrible bloke.

Surprised to see Brett 'let his hair down' in this task. Singing, dressing up, acting goofy. Didn't think he had it in him.

He's an alright bloke to be honest - sometimes completely misses the trick, but has a lot of strengths.

Wouldn't want to go in to business with him though as he's far too inconsistent and often has 'tunnel' vision and fails see the bigger picture.

He'll get to the interview stage but won't make it to the final, I'm guessing....

Agreed.

He's the sort of bloke you'd probably want working FOR you if you did run a business but I'm not sure he's got what it takes to actually run a business himself.

It's always the same on The Apprentice; lawyers, corporate drones and ex-military people just don't appeal to Sugar so they're always going to be on a loser.

Same here. He's so masculine, dominant and scrubs up beautifully in a slim-fitted suit. He has the full package. I could admire him all day long.

He's my favourite in terms of his character. He seems decent, honest, hard-working, efficient with good people skills. I'd enjoy working with him because he's straight-forward.

He and Richard are the only ones I'd want to employ or be employed by.

I like Vana, and I'd be happy to have a coffee with her, but I think she possibly lacks drive/dynamism.. Richard was blamed for the way he ran the kitchen in the last task, but I thought Vana was very ineffectual, and seemed to be giving Richard the authority.. e.g. when she said she was going to cover the food, then allowed him to override her. A more confident, assertive person would have thrown the cover over the food anyway, and told him it was important to keep the food fresh.
