I wish Alan Sugar had popped over to You're Fired and fired Jack Dee, Romesh and the set designer. It's so bad now I almost wish Adrian Chiles was back

I'm not liking it this season either, the layout doesn't work for me it all seems too detached and jack Dee just seems bored doing it. I know his stand up style is deadpan but this is a presenting job so I would expect a bit more than just reciting lines which is how he comes across to me.

Oh I dont know - i've never seen Jack Dee livelier to be honest. I dont mind the show - its not as if they have a lot to work with.

I'm quite enjoying it. I don't think it needs Romesh every week though.

Don't get the point of having 2 comedians on YF, when one is enough, I'm not fussy on the resident comedian, plus the set is weird some of the audience at the back of the panel

It needs to cut down on the amount of guests each week and show more unseen clips. The studio audience and layout don't bother me at all.

I watched the first two and gave up. Jack Dee is an awful host for a light hearted spin off show. He lacks the jovial nature and seemingly genuine interest in the show.

All of this not helped of course by the terrible layout making it appear cold and unwelcoming. I don't think Romesh as a reguar guest works either.

I really don't see the problem with it. It's very different to Dara's version, but that's history now, so things move on. The first episode was very shaky but it has settled in just fine. Jack is hosting it well now and I think Romesh's contributions are funny and quite incisive. The set is still awful but it's becoming less of an issue as you get used to it.

It could have been difficult tonight with the triple firing but all three got a good hearing and it rattled along well. Some of Dara's double firing shows didn't work as well

I'm half and half. On the one hand, I like Jack Dee a lot. Yet I don't think he suits the show like Dara did. Dara had the perfect mix between professional and jovial that made the show, at times, better than the main show whereas Jack just isn't cheery enough for it to really work. Still, he's miles better than Adrian Chiles.

Romesh I really like and I'd rather he was on every week than have to put up with the constant rotation of comedians, most of whom aren't in the least bit funny.

YF has always been pretty thin gruel.
It's the main show that needs a shake up IMHO. A new boss perhaps?

How is it thin gruel? It pokes fun at the main show in a way no other reality TV aftershow does. There's more meat in it than in the main show, which I agree needs a shake up. The boardroom is very predictable, but I don't think a new boss would help. Lord Sid would be hard to replace.

It's an improvement on the old You're Fired which was stagnating for 10yrs. Dara was the wrong host, surprised he lasted so long. He had a really annoying habit of milking a gag for all it was worth, whenever he got a laugh from the audience, he would prolong the joke for a good 20-30seconds, repeating what he'd just said, over and over. Meanwhile the candidate and everyone else is wasting time listening to Dara while we should be talking about the show.

agree with this host plus 1 comedian is enough I like it when they have two successful business people on the panel for a balanced perspective also don't like the audience being all around prefer the audience in front

Taking a joke to an extreme is Dara's comedy style. If he hosts a show that's how it will be.

For the first year ever I gave up watching it . Jack Dee is appalling . I'm amazed how nervous he is and looks lost and doesn't know how to respond a lot of the time .

Being in charge of Your Fired is beyond his capabilities and I won't be tuning in again until another presenter is found .

No, the quality of You're Fired has vastly improved this season. I've not been much a fan of Jack Dee's comedy before but he gets a very good balance between making fun of the candidates and serious business talk.

I agree. I do like jack but I only watched 15 minutes last night. I miss Dara

It's not very good and never has been - that's how.

Jack's good enough to carry it on his. You could add in an "Industry Expert" as well, but more time on the candidate and less on Romesh and however's free to sit in the middle would be better.

I still think they should get a comedian who has had business experience.

Romesh was a teacher - so hardly working in a business.

John Bishop was a sales director and Katherine Ryan worked globally for the "Hooters" bar chain.
Either of those as host or "pundit" would be good.

I like Jack Dee, but he's wrong for this. Its also bizarre that having appointed one dead pan comic to host, they then appointed another dead pan comic to be a regular on the panel
I enjoyed Chris Lycett last night - if they must have Jack and a regular comic he'd be a far better balance, though I'm not sure they really need a regular panalist anyway.

Your Fired could do with an extended edition over the weekend 30 minutes isn't enough especially when you have multiple firings.

I prefer Jack to Dara, and although I don't know why Romesh has to be there every week, I like him. He actually offers some insightful critique of the tasks and candidates. Adrian's were the halcyon days, however.
