I really don't see the point of having Romesh there every week.
Plus the set is so gloomy. |

I usually like Jack Dee but I think he's wrong for the show. It's a fan show so I feel that it needs someone more invested and enthusiastic. As for that Romesh...who on earth thought it'd be a good idea to have Mr Charisma on every blessed week?

I wish Jack would ask the fired candidates what their business proposal actually was, as Dara used to do. He's asked some of them what they're doing now but that's not necessarily the same thing.
I can't stand Romesh, especially his completely unfunny "sketches" where he enacts part of the task. At the start of the series, he and Jack had some quite funny exchanges but now Jack's "digs" at him just seem to land on stony ground, and Romesh just looks blank instead of coming back with a witty reply. I too dislike the audience being in the "round". It means that when the camera pans in on them you only see a very small section, instead of most of the audience in the old layout. There seems to be very little audience participation now, unlike before. |

For the first year ever I gave up watching it . Jack Dee is appalling . I'm amazed how nervous he is and looks lost and doesn't know how to respond a lot of the time .
Being in charge of Your Fired is beyond his capabilities and I won't be tuning in again until another presenter is found . |

I preferred You're Fired when Adrian Chiles was doing it. I wasn't keen on Dara, who I found was annoying as anything. Also, I don't know why they need to have Romesh on every week, if it's for comedy purposes, then I don't find him funny at all.

Romesh is at his best with the dry remarks. He doesn't suit the forced little sketches they insert as filler. I also don't know why they have him every week, it was better with a more varied panel.
The whole thing just seems a little empty now so I don't really watch it unless I'm bored. |

The sketches are longwinded and unfunny but what Romesh does very well -- normally the best of all on the panel -- is comment intelligently on where the task went pear-shaped. The industry expert is not a broadcaster so only responds to direct questions, and often not very usefully -- you have to listen to your gut is neither insightful analysis nor useful business advice. The guest celebrity often gives the impression this is the first time they've seen the show (although to be fair, so do some of the candidates).
Romesh would make a great host of You're Fired. |

I saw this for the first time on catch up and agree the set is really dark for a light entertainment show. Dont mind Jack & Romesh but really miss Dara & agree it's distracting having split audience.

Karren's up her own arse.
I'm starting to warm to Jack a little bit lately, he is a funny guy and that won't change even if he's not necessarily a fit for this show. I have chuckled at him a number of times. |

Chiles himself actually isn't the most likeable guy, but he was the right type of presenter; able to be genuinely serious and analytical while also bringing up some low-key funny moments (without overshadowing the candidates). Dara just turned it into some wacky, tiresome, zany, quickfire quip show and now Jack looks utterly lost - he's not a proper TV presenter and it shows. I can't remember the last time I watched a BBC show which had a presenter who looked so out of sorts. |

Haven't seen any of it this year, or for last years either. Always found it painfully annoying and boring to endure.
I'd probably actually prefer it if 'you're fired' was more of a serious affair, that actually matches the tone of the main show, with in depth interviews with the fired candidates. |

Since Dara left, Romesh would have been a better replacement than Jack. He's less nervous and funnier, and actually seems interested in the show.

I particularly like Romesh - he's really amusing and seems like a genuine fan of the show, which the programme needs. I miss Dara O'Brien's smile and sunny warmth. I think Jack Dee is competent enough, but his comedic style tends to be one-liners, so that plus his deadpan dryness don't tend to draw the guests into the informal humorous banter which made the programme so good before. He's OK, but I'd be glad if they tried someone else.

I enjoy it so much more this year! Dara irritated me greatly - he just hogged the screen and barely involved the candidate. Jack asks what I want to hear answered and I much prefer his less frenetic style. I'm entirely happy with the set and find Romesh quite amusing at times now.

I like Jack Dee, but not on this. Just doesn't suit the programme somehow. I enjoyed it more with Dara. Also the set looks uncomfortable and is not conducive to interviewing, with the candidate and Jack side by side they have to turn to look at each other and we get a side view much of the time. And the 3 guests just sitting in chairs just doesn't look right to me. I don't know what they thought they were improving by making these changes. It used to be an integral part of the week's Apprentice for me, but now I'm not bothered if I miss it!

I didn't like Dara because he insisted on having his mates from Mock the Week on the show. Plus some times I had problems understanding what he says as he talks too fast at times.
I don't particularly like Romesh, I don't find him funny at all & he's even more miserable than Jack (didn't think that would be possible) IMO the perfect host for You're Fired is Victoria Coren Mitchell. She is very intelligent, quick witted & is able to think on her feet when things don't go to plan. Victoria is very funny when she needs to be but can also play it straight

Jack Dee is doing just fine.
The problem is their insistence on having Romesh on every single show and even giving him his own spot which isn't very funny. I'd rather see different new guests each week to keep the panel fresh. Nothing wrong with having guests who pop up in more than one episode, but Ramesh taking up a chair every single week deprives us of having a different face on the panel. |
