The storyline was so cliched. It ticked every "high school movie" cliche box on the list: bad at kissing, unpopular/awkward people as protagonists, lusting after popular hot girls, popular kid's parties, blah blah.

But worst of all, aren't these characters supposed to be well into their twenties? I'm 24 and judging by my peers, most of us this age have kids and jobs and actual lives; we're a bit too old for clubbing, let alone pool parties!

The situation isn't remotely believable, the plots even less so, but strangely I quite like it. Jack Dee is absolutely top class. Josh W better than I expected and there is the odd creepy bad taste moment to enjoy.

Jack Dee 'swimming' stole the show in the first ep. Genuinely a laugh out loud moment.

Just caught up, I did actually enjoy the 2nd and 3rd episodes a lot more than the first.

I really like Josh Widdecombe, and Jack Dee is one of my comedy heroes. Beattie Edmondson, I have never seen before, but I respect her mum and dad, and she is fine in this. I just find Elis James completely unwatchable. He makes my skin crawl a little. I don't know why. I really disliked him in Crims, in fact I hated everything about Crims, but especially trying to pass him off as a youth. Maybe I have hang ups from that, maybe I just have issues, but I can't watch the man.

I think I'd quite enjoy this show without him.

Absolute drivel.

There is nothing even vaguely charming or likeable about any of it.

I'm quite enjoying it. But I suspect as a 60+ bloke who hasn't really found any sitcom funny since Black Adder and Bottom I'm not the target audience

Jennifer Saunders was great in her appearance but the show just doesn't work. The problem is that like Josh's comedy his references are exetremely dated. I guess some people like that because they 'get it' but I think it's just lazy. (I'm basically of the era the references he uses and it just doesn't work for me.)

Yes, I've liked Josh on various panel shows but I don't rate this at all. Josh co-wrote it, so he must have thought it was a good idea. But he's actually better than this kind of material.
I think he should have taken a tip from Jack Dee in Lead Balloon and made the sitcom closer to his real occupation as a comedian. The idea about youngish guys in a flatshare has been flogged to death and doesn't really suit his usual style of humour.

Same as the above really.
Love Josh in standup, Last Leg and on panel shows.. but this is truly awful.

Ep1 was abysmal. I stuck with it though. Ep2 was slightly better, mainly down to Jennifer Saunders. I lasted 10mins into Ep3 before I gave up and cancelled the series link.

Absolutely, spectacularly, unfunny.

I'm watching it and laughing but I'm not sure what Beattie Edmondson brings to the show - her character isn't funny in the slightest.

Jack Dee is slowly starting to steal each episode though and I love it

Ep 3 was a backward step........the whole wedding thing was not funny really.......I only tittered a little bit when Josh was expected to do the Best Man speech

The bit with the girl going loopy stuck indoors without a phone was slightly amusing

Josh was excellent on HIGNFY this week which just shows how wasted his talent is with this sitcom

I think it's only 6 episodes to might as well stick with it now we're half way through

Its incrementally got better but the stench of its desperate desire to be a hipstery UK Seinfeld is so palpably strong its distracting. Did Josh really have to play Josh, a stand up comic? It's too Jerry, especially with his male best mate, female best mate and the comedy nutty neighbour. Elis really does not convince as the kind of guy who is catnip for girls and I've never been convinced by Dee's acting chops. I don't think Beattie's as bad as others have said here, but she is certainly getting some very weak subplots - the kissing, alone indoors etc

Oh my. This is a real stinker.

It has all the tired ingredients of an American-style sitcom: open plan shared house, music links with outside shots of buildings, micro pauses before laughter following the delivery of gags... It's bloody rubbish. The plots are threadbare and predictable. The acting is wooden.

It looks like not Going Out done on an amateur dramatics budget, with one of the writers off sick.

Josh Widdecome's voice grates after a while. It seems to reach a crescendo of complaining at the end of every sentence and he starts to sound like a seal at the zoo honking for his next fish meal.

I don't much like his Mock The Week appearances either. Like Jimmy Carr he has a theatrical laugh that becomes too noticeable. He's not a bad comedian, but there are better comedians who don't have a sitcom

Sue Perkins's one-series sitcom was way better than this.

I watched this for a bit last night for the first time.
I didn't like it. It wasn't very funny and Josh was just constantly whining at everything which was highly irritating.
It seems that the poster above me felt the same. When you hear somebody constantly whining and complaining it can get to the point where it infects you and you end up feeling highly strung yourself.

Much as I like Josh on pretty much everything else he does I'm giving up on this now

For some reason I can never get into these BBC3 comedies. The only one I stuck with for a whole series was 'Uncle' and then I didn't bother with series 2

Don't think you lot be missing BBC3 comedy when the channel moves online. Through they may get better as they don't have to use half a hour slots.

I had a mad Welsh friend like that at Uni so this week's episode rang true for me.

Ah yes Uncle, that was good. I liked the idea and it wasn't a cheap gag-fest like Widdecome's limp effort.

It's OK. I've seen a lot worse. I preferred the Welsh guy in 'Crims', which I thought was really funny.

Beattie Edmondson doesn't seem to have inherited her parents talent. Not much of a flair for comedy..
