I've noticed that she seems to have a dislike for David for some reason. Back in the Pet Show task when he was TL she kind of mocked him for how enthusiastic he was when viewing the products but it was that enthusiasm that won them the balloons which were a major help in winning the task.
She also criticized his decision to abandon selling the t shirts and putting Joseph to work on the balloons as they had a huge queue of people waiting, what was he meant to do? Not get all hands on deck and potentially lose customers because they wouldn't stick around and wait? In the time it took Joseph to sell a t shirt they'd probably have sold the equivalent in balloons so to me it balanced out. I know he cocked up with the measurements but as he said, he corrected it and they moved on. It's not like it was a huge disaster which ultimately cost them the task. Personally, I think Charleine should have been taken into the boardroom for agreeing a price over the phone despite not actually seeing the shop. The owner pulled a fast one because she knew she could, I don't know of any trade person that would quote over the phone without seeing what work needed to be done. Realistically, they charged 100 pounds but could have gone up to 200 or more. |

She really has come across as rather moody and nasty this series. Which is a shame as I found her OK in previous series she was on.
Of course the candidates are useless at times/most of the time so of course there'll be a 'they really are hopeless' remarks by Sugar's "eyes and ears" but she's barely said anything positive about anyone all series. When Claude comes across as more complimentary then you then that's an issue. And as mentioned she really doesn't seem to like David at all. |

Yes - what is her problem with David.
Is it because on the evidence of tonight's show he has bigger boobs than her? |

The slating of David was totally unwarranted by all parties tonight. Yes he ****ed up with the measurements and was pretty useless at DIY but that doesn't say anything about his business skills. He's totally inept with his hands and anything practical, Just because he was a man and wasn't good at manly things they just laid into him. At least he tried.

Karen comes across nastily every series imo. She has a huge chip on her shoulder and she's very tedious to watch. Claude, on the other hand, I really like - if only it was him and Nick, then it'd be perfect.

Claude has softened since becoming a regular. Karen has seen that Claude had built up a reputation and got noticed by being very strict on the candidates in the interviews. Karen, as ever, has stolen what worked for someone else, and just copied his playbook. She brings nothing herself to the table, all she does is copy what's worked for others, First it was Nick with the squinting and wincing in the corner, now it's Claude with the put downs and nasty comments.
She's dead weight and is dragging the show down. I bet the producers can see it and are desperate to get rid of her, but Sugar will have none of it because he's blinded by his friendship with her. |

Perhaps David's overall performance was weak, we have no way of knowing. We don't see the whole task so if Karren of Claude notice something then it's likely there's something to it. Also, if David's mistake hadn't been spotted all the tubes could have been cut wrong. David was great last week, average at best this week. He wasn't bad enough to be fired so it won't do him any harm. Some of her pronouncements this series have missed the mark but it's a TV show and she's got to find something to say in the boardroom. |

She seems particularly nasty this series. Glad she's not the one doing the firing.
I wouldn't miss her if she left. |

I don't like how she butts in on the tasks or in the boardroom - she is only there as an advisor to LS therefore all she should do is advise LS of her observation's of the task not butt in with her personal grievances

I thought I'd hate Claude because of how he has been in the interviews, but he is so much better than her. She seems to turn her nose up at everything, say exactly the same thing during every task and just doesn't seem very interested in what is going on. |

Her facial expressions are priceless though. Good for TV (Remember her comment on Susan Ma thinking the French hate their children
)She really doesn't approve of many things in life does she? |

David should have been able to take a measurement down properly. Had Joseph not saved him and the others not been absolutely terrible then he was in the firing line

No he didn't. It was Joseph who checked and corrected David's mistake. As Karren rightly said, David would otherwise have cut all of the subsequent rods to the wrong length, as instead of measuring each one anew, he was using the first rod as his benchmark.

If he'd carried on happily sawing poles apart you'd have a point. |

Hated the way she did a little face at Mergim when he was explaining his tough upbringing. Had "i'm a priveleged person" look all over her face, have some respect woman.

Its been the same all series
.Elle got blamed for doing what her PM told her to . If the dingy guide price had been high they could have lost by not buying, and they had no way of knowing the guide price or that buying a toy dingby wouldn't be a firing issue. Karen blamed Natalie for not knowing what percentage mark up was on offer. But no one on her team had even thought of percentages, and Brett would have set different prices if he had - to avoid silly percentages emerging. David got blamed for sawing a pipe to the wring length - something totally irreleant to any business proposal - unless he too wanted to be a plumber. What we have a silly or insubstantial reason for firing people invented mid edit, and usually mouthed by Karen. Its either she's scripted to point out the dodgy reasons, or she's just got no real idea whats happening. There's also the unexplained nonsenses. Does a bloke try and screw in a nail because he's a fool, or Mr Bean's cousin, or because Lord Sugar's ghostbusters scale , supposedly fully equipped, truck, has no screws or plugs on board? Could they go and get some screws? is it a fool and a nail, or that for want of a screw, the fool is inevitable? |

Bottom line, Karen is polluting the show with bad vibes and negative energy. It must be impossible to work with her wincing in the corner, knowing that all she's writing in her notebook are sufficiently nasty put downs to use in the boardroom later. I'd rather have Claude breathing down my neck any day.

Only after David had measured the first pole, realised his mistake and asked Joseph to double check it. If Joseph had told him to carry on doing what he was doing then yes he would've made a bodge job of it, but that would be more down to Joseph, the closest there was to an expert in this field.
If he'd carried on happily sawing poles apart you'd have a point. And it was Joseph who queried and re-measured the pole which confirmed it was the wrong length. (What made Joseph doubt the length is not clear: perhaps he'd tried to use one or two and found they did not fit; maybe it is just professional caution, like measure twice, cut once.) |

But David was not fired; nor was Elle for the dingy, so Lord Sugar clearly does weigh context and proportion. |
