Obviously I know he is/was the main man involved but why is it now "Jeff Lynne's ELO" rather than just "ELO"? Are there two versions of the group in existence now? As I thought Bev Bevans version had folded?

Maybe he is calling it that out of respect. As there is only him and piano player Richard Tandy from the original line up ?
I seem to remember 2 versions of the band a while ago as well.

I'm fairly sure he's doing it out of respect.

But also he may have done it to avoid the usual whingers going "Oh but it's not the REAL ELO", just like Queen "isn't Queen without Freddie Mercury" and "no Bill Ward = no Black Sabbath", people would slate the band for arbitrary reasons rather than judging based on the quality of their live shows and music.

Personally, I'm delighted I managed to score a ticket to see ELO next year, never thought I'd get the chance.

Last I heard there was still a dispute over the usage of the name 'Electric Light Orchestra/ELO'.

Enjoying the concert on the red button right now.

Where are you going? Tickets aren't on sale until tomorrow (for Liverpool - which is where I'm hoping to go).

Got mine on the Ticketmaster presale today for the O2 Arena in London, was quite surprised when I realised £110 was for ONE ticket, I thought I had put 2 in my basket by accident hahah.

I know - the Liverpool tickets are £120, £99.50, £88.50, £71.50 and £55!

Suddenly I regret not checking to see if they had any cheaper tickets
