Guns N Roses Tour To Be Announced "In The Coming Days"
Guns N Roses are set to reunite the classic "Appetite for Destruction" line-up featuring Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler for a string of European and American festivals next summer before embarking on a world tour which will be the first time all 5 members have played on the stage together since Steven Adler left Guns N Roses in 1990.
Source: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/...r_of_days.html So, next summer either Sonisphere, Glastonbury or Reading/Leeds will hopefully hosting a reunited Guns N Roses. Would love to see them, they're imo one of the greatest rock'n'roll bands of all time, Axl is the only wildcard in all this, the rest of the band are pretty spot on musicians. |

Sorry, I hope not. Slash is amazing with Myles and the Conspiritors. Getting back with Axl would be a backwards step for him IMO

Also, I'd like to think both can co-exist, Guns N Roses play a few festivals this summer, in Winter they all crack on with their solo projects, and then summer 2017 they re-group for the GNR World Tour. I mean Slash is pretty much forever wanting to be up on-stage so I hardly think a GNR reunion would get in the way of his solo work at all. It just gives him something to do while Myles is off with Alter Bridge. |

I saw GN'R live in 2006 in Dublin. Axl wasn't on form and couldn't sing half the songs properly, plus they played almost all of Chinese Democracy and left out some of their better known songs so it wasn't that great.
I only hope that if this does happen, they do the entirety of Appetite and some from Illusions and that's it. No Chinese Democracy stuff or the Spaghetti covers either. I'll certainly be getting a ticket, but I hope all 5 appear and play together and Axl is able to fully perform and sound good again, without the constant walking off in the middle of songs to change outfits etc. |

I can't imagine we'll hear anything off Chinese Democracy, unless Slash somehow cut a deal with Axl that he'll play some of that if Axl sang some of Slash's solo stuff......that could actually be semi interesting, I wouldn't complain if that happened |

It's now being reported that the line-up will actually only feature Axl, Slash and Duff from the "classic" line up, while Dizzy Reed from the Use Your Illusion days features on keyboard, and Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrer from the "current" incarnation will feature as rhythym guitarist and drums, so like a weird "Guns N Roses throughout the ages" tour.
If that's true it loses some of the appeal to me, but I'd still go see it, especially if they happen to play Estranged. Could be good. Seeing Richard Fortus in the most recent Thin Lizzy incarnation I know he's a brilliant player, so this "new and improved" GNR could work very well. |

If it happens,
It's either the 'classic appetite' or the 'illusions tour' line up for me (even though I can't stand Dizzy 'areslicker' Reed). Not interested in Fortus & Ferrer being involved, never taken to those two at all. |

I can see it not living up to the hype. I think some will be expecting it to be as good as 87 roses. Regardless of how good slash is (and he is great) it won't live up to that amount of hype. With axl involved It will be either entertaining or a disaster. With how axl has been in the previous years I'd go for the latter. I haven't seen guns and roses but I do know axl always plans to start late. It will be interesting to see if that will continue for this

I'd be surprised if they played reading/leeds after all the trouble last time http://www.theguardian.com/music/201...-reading-leeds
I think Calling Festival or BST may be in with a shout though. Or maybe even Ramblin' Man Festival in Kent, as that had The Scorpions and various other hard rock bands this year, so it's definitely that style of music. |

As with everything in GNR world - as someone who followed the painful gestation of Chinese Democracy closely - deadlines come and go, rumours spread like wildfire, and Axl is more volatile than an atom bomb.
I will believe it when I see it. And if I see it, I will be beyond delighted. The best rock band of all time as far as I'm concerned. |

I think if Axl lost some weight, put in some solid rehearsals, this could produce a solid show similar to the Zeppelin O2 concert. Solid, not classic, we are not getting PRIME Axl, even hardcore fans can see that I doubt lightning can be caught twice, but I think a great show can be produced if the guys don't f*ck around If anything, imagine that curtain call at the end. Axl, Slash, Izzy, Steven, and Duff, taking a bow hand in hand Now that would be a visual for the ages |

If I were a betting man I would say they're headlining Reading and Leeds, but supposedly the BST organisers made quite a big offer for GNR so... guess we'll see. (really hope it isnt BST tho, Hyde Park is awful and any "Axl Antics" would kill the show there)

They're one of those 'Trigger's Broom' bands nowadays. They'll probably change three quarters of the band between the announcement and the opening night.

Rumours have it that neither Izzy, Steven, Matt or Gilby will be on board - only Axl, Slash and Duff. Three outta five ain't bad, but it wouldn't surprise me if part of the hold-up has been to do with money because of that fact.

Latest rumour is that we will find out on Friday morning @ 8AM when the Reading/Leeds headliners are announced. GNR are the bookies favourite.
