The Mrs records corrie and Neighbours on series link and at least once a week it misses one or both. The other day she started to watch a missed episode of Neighbours on 5OD she watched it, now the show is listed on recordings which has never happened before with a red R along side it, with no date showing, and we cant delete it, however cancel recording is shown, the box thinks its still recording, but nothing happens when we press cancel recording.

Any suggestions how to delete and reasons why at least once a week neighbours ( recorded at 13.45 when we are out and no other recordings set ) fails to record.?

Firs thing to try is put the box in sby and pull the power connector out of the back. Leave out for 20 minutes or so and reboot. Can you now delete the runaway recording. Check the planned recording list for a manual weekly repeat recording of neighbours.

Channel 5 do tend to mess up the recording crid codes which may explain what's happened.

That worked thanks, it even showed several missed recordings that were not shown before.

If you have further issues with the CH5 daytime soaps, set a daily repeating manual timer. As the HDR1000S does not have a weekdays only repeat pattern you will have to delete the unwanted Sat/Sun recordings.

I said if you have further issues (with series record), you can use a manual timer to get over the problem.
