I thought Vana would have been one of the first to go, really surprised she's still there.
So did I. I didn't think foreign contestants (no racism intended) did very well on the show. Felipe, Nurun, Steven and Pamela were foreign last year, and only one of them made it past the halfway point.

By week three I was especially concerned - she was so hypocritical in France, but I think the editing made her appear to be somewhat poor. Laughing in the boardroom, the way she looked at Jenny when she was fired, etc. She's grown on me though.

I don't think Nurun was foreign - she lived in Peterborough? And Roisin was, and she made it to the Final Five.

But I get what you mean.

And I agree, Vana has really grown on me.

She was praised for 'expectation-management' but the way I saw it she seemed to come back on an already negotiated deal?
in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Vana does do good things. Her problem is she does really silly htings too. I suspect she may hang around a long time - particularly if Charleine or Selina implde at the wrong time and get fired for it.

I agree - she was massively overpraised for not very much. Scott found the job, negotiated the price, and did a lot of the work, but Vana gets *all* the on-show credit because she put on a nice smile when telling the lady they weren't going to give her the full Garden Force treatment in one day? Silly.
I didn't like her early on, but she's been getting better and last week she deserved her praise, she handled her squabbling team mates well and she managed the customer.
This week she was better,
From actively wanting her out, I'm now thinking she's a very credible candidate

2/4 are not foreign. Pamela had a northern accent and Nurun was from Peterborough? as pointed out by another poster.

After tonight, Vana is officially the best candidate left in the process. If she doesn't win or even make it to the finale, I'll be genuinely shocked.

Pamela was definitely from the Republic.

On topic, Vana is still the best candidate, alongside Joseph and Richard. She is the only really likable one out of them for me - she's my winner at this point.

Why would you say that, she lost her task as PM, and was useless as PM. She's done nothing since, ok she "managed expectations" on the DIY task, would of been better had she "managed expectations" before the team spoke to the client.

She flip flopped around last night, and made a salad!!

Vana still hasn't shown me anything special. All she did this week was follow Richard's instructions.

She didn't really manage expectations that well. She also thought market research for a 2 day DIY task was a good idea

^^ didn't say she did it well, just that she did get some praise from LAS for what could of been a massive failure.

"some" could be useful, finding out what the areas like such as where the shops and businesses are...quite a few smaller businesses even on estates might pay a bit of money perhaps for the outside of the building to have a spruce up a bit by washing windows/pulling up a few weeds/lick of paint etc and all would be reasonably quick jobs especially as a team where one pulls weeds, the other does the windows and then those two help the wall painter etc.
