Evening all. Cheers to RK and Aggie for the previous threads.

The weekend is upon us and what better way to spend your Friday night than to post all things Corrie. Once more I’ve kindly been asked to fill in for tonight, and fortunately we’re treated to just the one episode because of the football. Go England! Spoilers (from here) in haiku form are below:

Spoiler

Corrie archive
13 November 1998
Liz leaves Weatherfield for the first time. And shamelessly a few episodes before gets caught having sex!

13 November 2002
The Harr—err, “Nelson” family as it were, move into No. 6. Worth watching alone for Blanche’s assessment: "That doctor and his alcoholic misses weren’t up to much (‘Good for business though’, quips Fred), but this lot…your Vera would tell you; ‘Hello’ wasn't out of her mouth before she slammed the door shut. I mean, I don't look like the Taliban, do I?"

Corrie in Need!
If you don't know by now, tonight is Children in Need. Yes, that ballooned telethon fundraiser presented by your favourite B-list celebs. To get you in the mood, watch some of what Corrie has had to offer:

2003 - Grease
It's not lightening!

2004 - Oliver!
The cast of Corrie do Oliver, the musical. Fiz frolicking in a corset!

2008 - How to Look Good Naked
Rosie's reaction to stripping off is hilarious.

2010 - East Street
Get outta my pub!

Enjoy the show and be sure to vote.

Evening Cobblewatchers Cheers for the thread Bell, great to see those CIN sketches again I'm racking my brain trying to remember the Nelson's, were they the ones where the dad end up getting his head caved in by his daughter?

Yes, Killer Katy!

I liked the Harris family, that was before they all got broken up and Martin started dating Katy. Nice and something different to see a soap depict a family on the witness protection program.

What a fantastic thread Belligerence

I voted for East street as I thought it was fantastic. I wish they'd do it again. Ken and Ian could discuss their problem kids and Stacey and kylie could discuss how to cover up a murder

Evening Belli - thanks for the awesome thread.

EastStreet for me. What a stroke of genius.

"You ain't my muvva!"
"Urrrrr yerrrrIam"

'Corrie In Need' should be an annual televised event for ITV to raise money and support for Coronation Street and its underprivileged writers, actors and other staff.

I liked East Sreet but I love Grease so it had to be that. I have to say, I thought Fizz was extremely good in the Oliver one, the only time she hasn't got on my nerves and was quite bearable.

Love how they're getting Sal out of the office and back on a machine. The office would have been a bit overcrowded now she's back.

So do I

I don't know how the writers have done it - but instead of making me root for her....they've done the opposite...
