I'd say it's between Jay & Georgia now, realistically.

I don't do any of that stuff, but I believe you if you say it is so.
And since there is little chance of him being eliminated before the final, as a competition this series was over almost before it started, which to me is a shame.

I found all the adulation of him on here a bit nausea inducing, which put me off him; but after seeing him on ITT this week, he does seem a nice lad, and clearly talented. A definite plus to all this is that his success means we get to see lots of Aliona, which is always good!

The only issue to be resolved is who will be in the final with him. Hard to call out of Georgia, Kellie, Anita and Peter. My favourites are Katie and Helen, but I fear they will lose out in DOs against any of the others I mentioned.

different couples have different appeal - they are all good but none are (yet) golden for me, whatever that means...

strictly is not always about being the best dancer, although usually it is about being one of the best and something else indefinable. jay is already the best dancer but i'm not sure he has the undefinable other thing.

being a nice guy / the boy next door may be enough of a thing but he has some potentially fairly excruciating latin to get through that may not suit his balletic style... a run of poor (for him) dances could mean someone on an upward trajectory (possibly georgia or maybe anita) could beat him to the finish line.

Interesting Jeremy could be in the bottom two tonight that would be a Moet moment for me.

Obbviously that poll isn't 100% translatable to the public vote - we know for example that Helen, Jamelia and Katie all beat Kellie in the public vote last week. And it's hard to fathom how Jeremy would survive this long that low in the public's affections.

GG for sheer good looks and for bringing youthful fun and surprisingly energetic routines to the table .
Jeremy and karen for their constant good humour in the face of piss taking ,their try-hard determination and their ability to take the flak from the judges without dissolving in a puddle of snotty tears like some (yes I'm looking at you jay kevin mcguinness).

He never did, as we all know, the sad Jay's detractors have to invent faults, because he doesn't have any.

All polls are skewed really . Many strictly fans are not interested in trotting from here to there to wherever voting on silly polls . They are for those with determination to impress how speshul and beloved their favourite is . Nobody I know bothers with polls (I polled them ), and I know a lot of strictly fans .

This thread has been polite up until now, with posters respecting differences of opinion. And to think that just yesterday, you were saying that you don't make personal insults.

My opinion:

I don't really think there is a "golden couple". To me this would be a pair who could do no wrong, and were favourites of the judges and public alike, and we don't have any of those.

My favourites remain Jay and Aliona, but I am also loving Georgia and Giovanni at the moment. I have liked Jeremy and Karen from the start, and probably will until he leaves the competition.

Phew...lucky that we don't use silly polls for anything important like electing our leaders isn't it? 😱🙄

I actually think Georgia will win the Glitter ball. I just have a feeling...
BTW I may be one of those 'older ladies' that actually looks forward to watching Jay dance every week I think he's great but worry he may have already reached his peak.
I haven't voted for anyone yet. I think I will wait until Blackpool.
