How Many More Weeks Can Katie Rely On The Public Vote?
differentdrum

Every chance she will be in the bottom two points wise tonight and it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if she was actually bottom.

Once she is in the dance-off it wouldn't even be a certainty that she could beat Jeremy. Anyone else and she is out of the door.

She is continually trying to talk a good game (in between the Anton smokescreen) on It Takes Two but come the reality of Saturday night and there is no indication of an upturn in performance and she must know her days are numbered.

All the Celebs rely on the Public Vote, without it they'll be in the dance off

Surely all of the contestants rely on the public vote?

She certainly needs another VW kind of performance but I reckon she's very popular, thanks in part to being paired with Anton. I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to see her in the final.

Would expect Jeremy to be bottom, but sadly she could well be next to last (if Jamelia does well.) I fear the worst; Anton and rumba are two words I don't care to see in the same sentence!

The public will keep Jeremy out of the DO though, so she could go tomorrow

i think jeremy would definitely go before her, or he should if its on dance merit, but otherwise i think she'd be disadvantaged in any dance off. I think she has a few weeks yet and will probably outlast jamelia and jeremy, and maybe one other (kellie?) but in the end, the public want a decent dancer to win and unfortunately she hasn't lived up to the promise she sometimes shows. i blame anton for that.

It looked okay in training so I don't think she'll be bottom. Anton is v popular .. can see them doing well in the vote.

Not if they're consistantly high up on the leaderboard. For example, to take it to the limit of absurdity it's theoretically possible that Georgia hasn't received a single public vote so far for the entire 7 weeks she's been there.

She's not going to make the final, but she's not going to be out this week either - even though The Anton Vote has officially lost steam in week eight for the past two series. I can see one successful dance-off before she goes out on the Quickstep-a-thon (possibly on a stretcher).

The dance steps software is certainly misfiring.

I bow to the logical nature of your statistical reasoning

Seriously, I enjoy all your statistical musings, they often bring a voice of reason to the debate.

The Anton vote lost steam, though, with contestants who had never been seen in any way as a contender or done a 'good' dance (in score terms). Katie started off looking like a contender, has done a few very good dances and has topped the leaderboard, which I think will make viewers find it much easier to keep voting for them for longer, particularly if the judges keep being harsh on them. They have lots of ballroom still to do and people could conceivably think she will make a comeback. She has been saved from some quite dangerous positions on the leaderboard, so I wouldn't be surprised if she lasted a long while yet. Although I said Kellie wouldn't be in the DO last week so what do I know

I think her training is looking good this week, and she's got a lovely dress, showing off her amazing legs. I think it's going to be a good week for her. I have no idea who won't go to Blackpool but I would be very surprised if Katie - and Jeremy - haven't got huge votes.

Is that a surprise when she is savaged by the judges most weeks?

Aside from her cha cha cha, the reasons for which we may never know, I think she's been quite good. Yes there are mistakes and she cannot loosen her hips yet but she gives herself to each dance and there are good things in each dance. Even her cha cha cha posing! I think the criticisms of her salsa and paso doble were unfair given that the same could be levelled at Peter Andre every week, for example, and are not. I think she will survive for a few more weeks and outstay Jamelia, Jeremy and may be even Peter if he finds himself bottom two. I may vote for her in the next few weeks as I enjoy her presence and I'm not an Anton fan.

She hasn't really delivered a great dance since that VW, I'm not sure she has enough fluidity in her hips for a Rumba.

If I had to pick somebody to go tonight It would be her or Peter.

I think that she's definitely on thinner ice than I would personally find comfortable, but after the Rumba she may find an upsurge in judges' scores, with a flood of Anton Ballroom, so... she might only be solely relying on the public vote for tonight.

Even then, it's eminently possible she'll out-score Jeremy, Jamelia, or even Peter, even with an Anton Rumba (which, Party Rumba aside, I actually think are fairly good, certainly better than Aljaz Rumba at any rate).

Think that both her and Jeremy are relying heavily on the Blackpool vote this week.

Anton is sure to mention which ballroom dance they will have there.

If her Rumba turns out on par with most of her other latin dances, then you should probably ask yourselves if she deserves to make the final at all (on ability or entertainment level). Especially if the other celebs keep performing on their level or even improving on that.

The public vote got Chris Parker to the final and crowned Chris Hollins the winner. No reason why Katie can't go as far.

She'll be gone after Jamelia this week and Jeremy next week.

The thing is I agree that a few weeks ago it was highly likely that the bulk of votes were going to Katie Jeremy and Jay.

With Georgia storming up on the inside with several wow dances I think people must be turning their attention to her.

That vote needs to come from somewhere else. At the moment I don't think Georgia will be winning much support from Jay as he hasn't had a bad dance since the QS, he's still consistent.

Therefore I think it's more likely that as Jeremy is still beloved, if any of the big 3s vote is dwindling and switching to others in the comp I think Katie's is the most likely.

I honestly think anyone bar Jay andGeorgia could be in the d/o

I think she'll really have deliver high quality dances after Blackpool. This week she might be ok, Blackpool is just crazy, and then nothing less than dancing will suffice.

I think she can. So far she has. She comes across as nice.

You have summed up my thoughts, thank you very much.

I'm not sure she will make week 10'but I'm sure she will get to Blackpool.
