I always find it a shame some people use their views of her personality to undermine her skill as a dancer (and as a teacher). She's really one of the best ballroom dancers the show has ever had period. *shrugs*

I loved Jo & Giovanni's dance with Seal. I'd happily watch them again
that dance was great, so many spins, would happily watch them every week

I would, and thank you to those of you who posted links in this thread. I've been waiting for this to happen since she was hired, to be honest, and I'm getting increasingly tired of watching all the pro dancers jig their way through poorly choreographed pop routines that don't suit their individual skill sets. I loved Joanne and Giovanni's routine last week and would very much like to see a full show dance, regardless of whether or not Joanne's former partner is willing to come and dance on Strictly with her for a week. There is precedent for having a pro dance their speciality without it being part of a group dance because Vincent and Flavia used to do an AT demonstration once each series.

She can dance, but her showings on ITT are abysmal.

Joanne's a world champion, but never really had the opportunity to show that level of skill on Strictly.

She's brilliant at explaining. Perhaps give her a separate spot each week next year where she explains a particular aspect of dance - a fleckle, or pointed toe in Jive, etc.

Yes I would. Curiously, since she is only half in the show this year, I have warmed to her. I think having cast her differently has shown her in a different light and she seems calmer and more credible. I think her slighly manic puppy like persona last year may have been inexperience and nerves. PErhaps she was trying too hard. I would like to see her back next year.

Not all abysmal. I think she was excellent covering for Karen in Choreography Corner.
