Well Craig was full of praise for Jay on This Morning last week. He was the one he mentioned to win.

Yes and during that time some posters were still claiming Georgia was "forgettable " and "bland" when I was thinking..she was by far the best dancer

A man unfairly winning a dance contest based on looks and being "fancied" (that is what it comes down to I think ) is a trifle pathetic but still.. there is time yet.

I think Jay will continue to dance at the same level he is currently and others, especially Georgia, will improve in tems of technical ability. I love Georgia's energy- she is so motivated and happy and really giving it her all.

Not sure about sabotage, but they seriously underscored him tonight compared to other contestants. Both him and Anita got underscored actually. Ok, he made one mistake, but they all pretty much said it was an incredible dance other than that so I was expecting a 7-8 from Craig and 9's from the others as contestants have made mistakes before and still maintained high Judges scores. Instead he gets a 6 and three 8's?!

Indeed other contestants tonight were mentioned by the Judges for a mistake or two here and there, I believe Darcy mentioned something Georgia did wrong, and yet she got a 9 and three 10's! I mean even Katie and Anton got higher marks for an ok rumba.

So are they sabotaging him or are they just, as per normal, inconsistent with their scores? I don't know, but it is worrying if they feel they need to play with the Judges scoring to add drama or bring down a contestant. I am just concerned they may be laying the groundwork for a 'shock' bottom two tomorrow night.

Also it's kind of patronizing to assume that a lot of Jay fans are ovaries voters.
He's absolutely lovely, he works really hard, has a brilliant partnership with his pro...he's just a really, really genuine nice guy who happens to be a very good dancer. I hate this assumption that most if not all jay fans are women who just fancy him. I'm sure a lot do but his personality has a lot to do with his popularity imo.

At least Jay himself has got far more humility than some of his fans on here could ever dream of.

And yes, I agree that it's pretty much become a two-horse race now between Georgia and Jay. I personally still think Jay will win, but if he doesn't have the acting breakthrough the judges so desperately want him to have and Georgia continues on her upwards trajectory, things might be a little different come a couple of weeks time...

It is very patronising, considering Jay is technically one of the best dancers every single week. The only criticism the judges can find is that he doesn't act it but technique-wise he out-dances nearly everyone. If people were voting for a Jeremy standard dancer based on looks it would be one thing, but to assume people are voting for an excellent dancer (Jay) purely based on his looks is disrespectful and bitter.

Georgia was over marked tonight. She made an obvious error and still got 10's. That stunk to high heaven.

I am sorry but I do suspect that if he looked liked Kevin or Peter he would not be getting the same amount of votes, patronising or not.

Based on the dances they have left I think Jay will do better as he got 3 latins where he can let his hair down and have fun whereas Georgia has low key dances.

But thinking if they both get into the final I think Georgia will win over Jay because of her Charleston a lot of people on other sites I have saw have said its the best dance this series and I would assume she would repeat this one.

If you're a Georgia supporter don't get disheartened....it is an entertainment show after all. If Georgia continues as she does, I think her and Giovanni will be more than happy with what they've put in and they'll know how well they've done - and everyone has seen how well they've danced and how consistent they've been. I won't mind 2nd place. They know as well as anyone its an entertainment show. I just wanted her to reach 2nd place as I felt she more than deserved it - its looking more than likely now, so I'm happy with that.

I saw Helen grimacing and gurning in her Tango and she was praised for that. If that is 'acting out the dance' give me Jay any day. He's not an actor but he does his best and his technique is much better than stiff-legged Helen.

I love both Georgia and Jay but at the moment I'm slightly veering towards Georgia because she's such a little bundle of joy and I love Giovanni, but I still love Jay and Aliona ohhh this is ridiculous I can't choose.

The crowd roars when Jay appears. He has the female vote sewn up. Honestly, IMO, having watched for years - nothing will stop him winning. Georgia is the best dancer and her snatching runner-up is the best possible outcome for Giovanni and her. Maybe in another year.

One peek at the forum and you can see how fanatical his support is.

I am voting Jay, I find Georgia bland

Georgia is much more exciting to watch and she doesn't have six years dance training so she should win over Jay.

Agreed!

bib: And quite a few males too.

I would be pleased if either Jay or Georgia (or Anita) wins.

Although he is a good dancer, he hasn't outshone the others so much to deserve such a huge lead that he has in popularity. I think he has been underwhelming in quite a few dances if you compare him to others, although his jive was brilliant. But as much as many do find him attractive (as well as his relationship with Aliona) I think liking his personality is what is making him SO popular as opposed to looks. I think because hes nervous/appears under-confident people are finding that quite adorable and they think he is a lovely person. (thats the vibe I'm getting anyway)
