With Georgia, Peter and Kellie having all topped the leaderboard with the Charleston (my favourite dance), I would like to elicit your opinion on what you think is the best in show this season so far...

Over the weeks, I have seen varying opinions here as to which was the best so, for that reason, I have (in adding Anita's and Jamelia's) picked what I have considered to be the best five charlestons and would like you to pick your fave - simple as that!

Peter been best so far

So hard... I prefer the feel of Janette and Peter's -- that sort of floppy, loose-limbed, offhand vibe. Big musical numbers really aren't my thing and yet I feel that Geo shone in that routine. I preferred her joyful performance to Peter's open-mouthed display.

Hmmm. Going to have to be honest.

For me Geo and Gio gave by far the best dance of week eight, and they are my clear favourites to win the glitterball thingy, but I prefer the atmosphere and the energy of Peter and Janette's dance, particularly as expressed by Janette.

EDIT, oh I dunno though. Going to have to sleep on it. Between those two for sure

If Jay does a charleston with the conviction and execution from his jive then no other charleston will matter imo. He just needs to nail the facial expressions.

However, i feel that, even if he does nail the character, it will still get nit-picked on

No - today, from my standpoint, is officially "Jay-free Poll Day"!

This thread is not about Jay! Why is he brought into everything, why should people wait to comment until Jay has done his Charlston. It's not the Jay Show!!!

Thank goodness for that, the obsession with this young man is quite disturbing, he would be freaking out if he read half the stuff his admirers say about him on here.

Mind you, it has actually been a good year for Charlestons so far, not just a "well, if we make them all do the Charleston at some point or another then one's got to stick, right?" kind of year -cough- 2014 -cough-.

Georgia was amazing tonight. Suitable choice of music too, for once. The whole dance really had the feel of the roaring twenties.

For me it's Peter. I lie Georgia more as a contestant, but Peter's charleston was more impressive. Georgia had some timing issues and mistakes as well. They were more noticeable than Peter's.

I think a lot of people here just dislike Peter and so can't bring themselves to really like anything he does.

Georgia and Giovanni's by a country mile. Jamelia's was fantastic too.

I voted Peter because I liked preferred the choreography of his dance but I actually think Georgia danced hers better.

This has been a great series for the Charleston!

I voted for Georgia & Giovanni and their Charleston may replace Chris & Ola's as my all time favourite. I need to rewatch the scene from Chicago to see how close it is to G&G's dance. I hope it's not a clone. Even if it is, Georgia was born to dance that routine and my choice of G&G as the dark horse couple is coming good.

BUT I admit both couples did have the advantage of fab costumes and great music.

Anita & Gleb I think its underrated

I would actually say the obsession people have with having a dig at him at every opportunity is the real disturbing thing.

I don't like the Charleston, or thought I didn't but actually after a re-watch I think I'm changing my mind. And there has been something about all of them which I've enjoyed..

Anita and Gleb- Liked the storyline, the gusto of the performance (and Gleb looked divine)
Jamelia and Tristan-She was good, looked comfortable and it worked well with her talents (such as they are)
Kellie and Kevin- Fun and light, great syncronicity
Peter and Jannette- Surprisingly good -except for that slack mouthed expression (I know it was choreographed that way so not his fault- I just didn't like it)

But I voted for Georgia and Giovanni because it was fabulous, brave and preformed if not perfectly, then close enough to make no difference.

Team GG without a doubt so far for me

Watched and watched and tried to find the reasons to click on my favourites (GG) but actually I think you sum it up perfectly. I'm voting Peter for the choreography too. But really loved GG -- Geo has that extra exuberance that makes her performance shine
