Even though they are sell out singers, they performances are out of tune or sound just terrible?

Is it the mic's problem or something?

I was impressed - loved her.

I was literally thinking the exact same thing just now.

It's no secret that many of today's Stars can't sing at all, but it's too much of a coincidence that nearly every guest performer has trouble with their pitch.

To make contestants sound better apart from Syco artists of course.

Mind you there is hope forLouisa. As Jess Glynne has no personality......

Jess was awful tonight, her music is Ok but it was painful to sit through this evening.

As i`ve posted many times. Simon invites them on but gives them crap sound to sabotage their careers leaving a gap for his acts.. which this year will be Louisa probably. Same reason Ellie Goulding sounded rubbish last week.

Just look out for the difference in mic output for One Direction and the contestants. One Direction will still sound shite though

Jess Glynn is this years Adele over hyped she's EVERYWHERE ZZZZZ , she's not even all that (ROLLEYES), she's more exposed than Cheryl's poor singing vocal

Never mind 'sound awful'!!

...just check out how miserable/angry Harry Styles has been looking ever since he became a multi-millionaire!

What a waste.

Only XF alums and judges seem to have decent performances

I'd never heard her live before tonight, and now I realise how much of a blessing that was. She sounded bad.

The lads in One Direction have aged terribly.

If that's what they've turned into after 5 years, can you imagine what they're gonna look like in 2020.

It'll be One Direction - The Horror Movie!!! I guess this is a massive lesson in taking drugs and drinking excessive amounts of alcohol on a regular basis.

Look at Ant & Dec. They look the same now as they did in 2001. lol

Agree totally .... She's supposed to have an incredible voice but that was just painful to sit through . Lousy song but her voice was horrendous .

I like Jess Glynne but she isnt a great live singer. Listen to any of her recent live performances.

Harry styles seems to be changing into a young Mick jagger. They aint coming back in 2 years!

I would think this is more to do with doing 4 world wide tours in 4 yrs and recording and promoting an album at same time . We watch pop singers on tele and think what an easy life but not true. a 16 hour day can be the norm with back to back interviews and that can be every day for weeks on end. No wonder they all look shattered. I hope they all enjoy their *break* and get to live the life of a normal 20 something lad

One Direction look dead behind the eyes. Wouldn't surprise me if they all died a few years ago and were replaced with robots.

Sorry Jess but that was terrible.

I really don't get the Jess Glynne hype.. Yes, some of her songs are catchy, but literally anyone could sing them.

Jess Glynne isn't a brilliant live singer is the answer. I like her songs and album but its not worth seeing her live. Its par for the course these days isn't it? Right look, catchy songs, bit or personality.. then singing ability..

I think we were spoiled when the likes of Leona Lewis were on the show doing Bleeding Love and Run perfectly live.

All down to the sound engineer as any artist will know, that's why you rarely see a support act blow the main act off stage, being involved in music i've seen it so many times and i imagine the same would apply to guests on X Factor.

Have to disagree.

The sound engineer did not make her sing out of tune, they can only do the opposite, auto-tune a bad singer, or loads of reverb/effects to fill out the vocal sound.

The only thing a sound engineer can do to make it sound bad is to mess with the mix between vocal and backing track.

He makes me think of a young Bob Geldof.
