Olly well and truly screwed that up, I dont like this duo of Murs and Flack presenting the show, if i was a betting man i would say that they wont be back next year! (If the X factor returns that is)

That said once Dermot opted to leave, and he wasn't fantastic it is really hard to know who they should turn to.

Olly screwed up showed his inexperience at the wrong time. You could hear Cowell go mad, it was awkward!

Murs should stick to singing,

Not even sure about that. He's a chirpy likeable guy who has benefited from being given catchy songs but he's a very mediocre singer. His level of fame is way beyond his actual talent.

I bet Olly will be nervous this week.

People will be waiting for him to make a slip up, which will make him more nervous, which will make it more likely for him to slip up...

Please no. The only good thing about watching him make a tit of himself on prime time tv every week is that he's not singing one of his cheesy nursery rhymes

To be frank I thought it was nice to have a bit of honest humanity on the show. Humans to mess-up from time to time. On other shows it'd be considered endearing and humorous. On Cowell's over-produced, heavily-scripted TV of tears, doom and drama it's considered so outrageous he might as well have made a Nazi salute with one hand whilst swinging his nob about with the other.

It was a cock-up. No biggie. I think the biggest shock is that a presenter said something not on the autocue in front of them. Not seen that on ITV prime time since about 1997.

Not to say he isn't a terrible presenter - he is. But when people react to a presenter fluffling his lines on a light entertainment show with such shock and horror it's a sad indictment of where television has gone.

It was a bit more than a cock-up. He gave away that they know the result beforehand. This diminishes the integrity of the judges when they agonise over who to send home.

When the act they want to send home is bottom of the votes, that's no problem. They can go to deadlock knowing the person will go home anyway.

When they've only managed to push the act they want out into the bottom 3, they can vote by majority.

No he didn't, I keep seeing this being said, he obviously just didn't keep track of who the judges had voted to send home and thought Monica had a majority, rather than realising Simon's decision actually took it too deadlock.

He made a mistake, it isn't a big deal and people need to stop twisting every little human error into an expose on how the show is corrupt, this part isn't aimed at you.
