One song that is essential to you. Not two or ten songs because "I'm such a flakey **** who can't understand the rules". Just ONE SONG.

Just ONE.

Here's mine.

I've listened to both replies.

People's lives are so different! And the same in the end.

I found it hard to pick one. This isn't the first that sprung to mind, but I like it anyway, although not my favourite song.

I have so many, but to make it easier for me to go with one, it'll be my newest addition which is from country music's late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal named "Out Of Sight And On My Mind".

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly

P.S. Clicking on the song name here will take you to a live performance of the song because to me, it is even better than the album copy.

I've never heard that song before, it is beautiful!

I love these types of threads where you find new music when you are not expecting to!

Glad you liked it I've always preferred non-love songs and IMO that's the greatest.

I agree about these threads where you get a manic mix of songs, I've been enjoying the Lesser known Christmas songs thread for that very reason!

Hmm.. tough one. I'd have to pick a song that I've been a fan of for decades and *still* haven't tired of.

This song sums up how I felt when I realised I'd fallen in love with my husband and he used to fly home to Ireland at the end of every weekend.

On our wedding day we asked for a song to dance to and the DJ forgot to bring the CD (pre youtube/smart phone days) and we had to dance to something which didn't mean much to us. We first heard this song when we went to a Scissor Sisters concert and this band supported. It's ended up being "our song" and my dream would be to dance to this at our 25th which comes up soon as we never have.

If we're changing songs to reflect our current favourite, this is what I'm loving. Not for any reason except it features the wonderful Liz Frazer's beautiful voice!
I couldn't find the right edition that was viewable on YouTube, you have to click past the advert.
