The replies section of just about any Guardian article regarding any music artist (but particularly hugely successful ones) is invariably a monstrously depressing read.

I am somewhat bored of it already and I'm a sort of fan huge love for 19, 21 a so so affair. As for Hello so uninspiring from her really bores after a few listens. I love her as a person but I'm finally seeing the naysayers point of you she is quite well bland all that personality and from 19 diluted into MOR balladry. I will probably buy 25 but after the hype has died down so I can fully appreciate away from the glare of media and fan intrusion.

I can't stand Adele. Couldn't get away from her in 2011 on every single channel and on he radio non stop. Got a nice break from her the past few years.

I love her first two albums in terms of the music but I'm disappointed she's still going on about her ex. She is SO OVER him, don't you know, but oh look one of the songs on 25 is a "f*** you" song about him and she's still mentioning him all the time in interviews. She's acting like the only woman who's ever been dumped. Finding her kind of pathetic and annoying to be honest. She doesn't come across as very likable at all either.

Where on earth did you read his nonsense. In no way is "Hello" about the ex she wrote about on 21

Also the '**** you' song on her album is called Send My Love and it's not aimed at the same ex from 21

The self indulgent parading of her love-life.
Who cares?

She really isn't. She's just doing what every other singer/songwriter does, and singing/writing about her live experiences.

that's a very silly comment. They're just songs which like all good songs are universal. There's no parading of specifics. Nobody cares about her love life but a lot of people care about their own.
You might as well say who cared about Billy Bragg's poilitical views. People sing about what makes them want to express something.

I'm going to agree on Hello a bit, iv'e never fully taken to it, though it has improved on me. I just felt after the long break the time was right to come back with something different and unexpected. Hello feels like a wasted opportunity to surprise if nowt else.

Agree entirely Rolling In the Deep was and still is a powerhouse of a song that excels on every level and was a step beyond 19. It's like she got nervous and didn't have the balls to offer something else instead we get Hello. I always appreciate Alanis Morissette for following JLP with something equally as good but entirely diffferent. Cannot see this with 25 but i'm hoping to be proved utterly wrong and to be sat here eating my words .
