Really good opportunity for a peek of Claire's knickers in Friday's episode, very similar to last series. Silly producer gave her an extra length jumper. 😡

I'm curious about where the coroner gets her wardrobe, Christmas is coming and I know someone who wears that sort of style. Anyone recognise it?

The Foxby Affair on Wednesday I am sure the plot line has been used before somewhere.
Father brown maybe? Series not quite as good as series one story wise, although there has been more continuity between episodes. Last episode Friday with some cliffhanger to maybe hope the BBC renew the series. They were writing series two before they got the green light last February for this series as they film April to June. My money is on Davey's wife, Annette, appearing or leaving him because he's not been getting the Lamb Shanks in...from the butchers or maybe she has run off with the butcher. Or maybe Jane's husband turns up for a reconciliation |

Has it ever been talked about Beth possibly being Davy's daughter as he is very protective of her as much as he is of Jane. Loved it the other day when he told Beth to be home for 10 in the evening. Very Dad like.

I love this easy to watch show. Definitely in the Father Brown niche. 10 episodes isn't long enough as I shall miss watching it early evening when TV is not to my liking. I've set the Doctor Blake Mysteries to record but I can't get into them but I'm going to force myself to watch the first two with hope I'll change my mind.

Well they've left it open for another series with the reveal about the break up at school of Jane and Davy with a lingering shot of Beth's photo. Now I wonder what that could suggest ....

It wasn't Beth in the photo, it was a picture of the girl who died
Really enjoyed this series, hope we get more next year. Am looking forward to Doctor Blake next week, though we only get 8 episodes this series

Bet couldn't be Davey's daughter as she is 15. They split up (by the sounds of things) just after the 6th form leaver's disco. If she was pregnant then, then her school friend with her 18 year old son would have had him at the age of 15, which is unlikely.

I hope it's getting a third series. I need more.
I'm looking forward to more Doctor Blake, but I'll really miss The Coroner. It's the best UK daytime TV offering for a long time. |
