I personally think it might - I feel that this will be Helen's best dance so far, with Aljaz going all out with the choreography and them picking up at least three if not four 10s.

What say you??

I can't see it happening. I think it'll be a great Charleston though.

I feel sorry for Helen, the two previous Charleston's have really put the pressure on her. Will it get the perfect score, unlikely but I do think that it will really suit her and will probably be her best dance yet. I'll go for a clean sweep of 9's.

Whatever happens, they should make the most of the opportunity - probably one of the most crowd-pleasing dances performed at the Home of Dance...it has all the makings of being a classic... and would be my prediction for "Dance of the Night" and leaderboard-topper.

I also think its where she can really show she's a contender. - so don't waste it Aljaz!

Helen is my favourite celeb but I can't realistically see her topping Georgia's performance. The only way she'd have a chance is if they attempted a similar style routine to Ali Bastian & Brian Fortuna, which made the most of Ali's ballet training and brought out a goofiness we hadn't really seen before.

Much as I like Helen and Alijaz, I think Georgia's will be hard to beat. It was her best dance and she really shone.

I like being surprised though, and I think Alijaz can come up with some great routines.

Both Peter and Giovanni had experts in to choreograph their routines and that does make a hell of a difference.

I think it's possible - for all that they focus on her ballet, Helen has a lot of musical theatre in her locker and there's a huge amount of crossover between that and how they do Charleston on the show. I've decided against just because I found both of Aljaz's previous attempts at the genre dull.

I could be wrong, but I think most of them get help with the Charleston? I don't know for sure, but from what I remember from last year, most of them had a choreographer to help with that particular dance.

all the charlestons so far have had outside help from charleston dancers/choregraphers

there is no rule that says the pros must get help so I guess it depends on Aljaz and how confident he feels choreographing the routine

Short answer is NO

Helen doesn't have the personality to pull off a Charleston & she is too stiff

I thought Gleb did his own choreo?

I expect Alijaz' choreography to be outstanding and Helen to nail it.

It will be excellent, although I do not believe it will beat the 39 score and get a 40.

Helen is too tall imo. A lot the great charlestons (bar Sophie's which had a different feel) have been done by short people - Georgia, Peter, Chris Hollins. It's a very compact, punchy dance and I don't think that is where Helen's strengths lie.

It won't be terrible, but it won't be up there with Georgia's. For me, Helen's strengths lie in the beautiful elegant ballrooms but then judges gave her great marks for her rumba and samba neither of which had any (or very little) hip movement, so what do I know?

You could be right.

I just remember near the beginning, Gleb said in a ITT segment that he learned Charleston, and in an interview with Anita - he said he sacrificed the swivel step in favour of more exciting moves.

I think most of these dances are easier in the more confined controlled space of the studio. The bigger scale of Blackpool usually means extra dancers and enormous props, which my impression is that most of the audience don't like. They will all have to up the theatricality of it all, and while having a charleston is much better than having a rumba or a foxtrot, it might not suit Blackpool as much as a VW or something hyper-intense like a paso or an AT, because with the charleston it's often about smaller details. Georgia's charleston would still have been great if she'd had a week later but I doubt it would have worked quite as well as it did in the studio.

Having said that I think the charleston will really suit Helen and it should be a good dance for her.

Her hips didn't look too bad to me in the samba, I thought that was a brilliant routine. In her rumba though, yes, hip movement was non-existent

One of the reasons why I have so much admiration for Sophie's charleston ( I still rate her Charleston higher than Georgia ) . She's so tall and this dance really suit short people; at least on strictly and yet she made it look so effortless.

I do think i will wait until i see it on the night. She'll make a good enough job of it, i'm sure

Georgia has had three great performances in a row and has topped the leaderboard twice in three weeks. Besides, the charleston is her favourite dance when she did it on Saturday.

Think Aljaz pulled off one of the greatest choreographical masterpieces I can remember in that samba. He choreographed in her stiffness to make it seem part of the routine, he exaggerated it almost, when she couldn't have done it any other way even if she had weeks nay months to practise it.

Yes, the mummy theme certainly worked to their advantage, but at least she did have some rotation in her hips. It was like she wasn't even trying in the rumba

Helen has a good face for Charleston, she's all eyes and very expressive, but she's tall and can be quite stiff. I think it'll be very showdance-y, which will probably work in their favour given the venue.

I hope she pulls this off, what a surprise it would be as it doesn't seem anyone thinks she can do it.

G'waaaaaaaaan Helen!
