Replacement straps for a dog coat?
Hiya
I've recently bought a dog coat which fits pooch perfectly apart from the belly strap which isn't long enough to fasten underneath him. I can't just buy the next size up because then the length of the coat would be too long on him. Help, does anyone know of anywhere that does different sized belly straps? I think it's pretty standard with velcro one end and a buckle at the other. Thanks

When we had our corgi cross we had to just buy best size and alter them, just a bit of elastic or sew some material and velcro on it does the trick. Our chihuahua never seems to fit any coats or jumpers so I make them for her - just a sleeve off an adult jumper with leg holes does in an emergency.

If you need something with a buckle on one end, have you tried using an old collar? Sew one end where the velcro would be and you've got a buckle for the other bit. Failing that, or if your not good at sewing, ask a seamstress to alter it for you.
