Cold Brewed Coffee
Anyone make this? And do you like it?
What type of beans would you recommend, and anyone make it a French Press? The Bodum press I bought at last years Black Friday is wearing out, and I can't be bothered with the Tassimo, or stove top, so looking for a new way to get my brew. So think I'm going to try cold brewed coffee, but not sure about decent beans, or anything else

Well, socked 250g fresh ground medium roast beans in 1 1/2 L spring water. Left most to soak 48 hours in fridge, some 20 hrs on the counter.
Double strained both and have the resulting concentrated cold brew coffee in the fridge. Dilute with hot or cold water and ice or milk. Found the short soak a bit weak for my liking, while the 48hr soak OK, but a bit of a syrupy taste. Both pretty smooth though Not sure if I dd it right tbh, read a lot of conflicting soak times. Anyway, might try again with some different beans, and 24 hr soak. |
