Prediction: Lauren is going under the bus next week

If Louisa is the producers' Plan A (which seems to be the case) I think they're gonna try and shift Lauren, as she's her biggest threat at this point. Her performance on Saturday has gone down a storm (Top 10 on iTunes, the original also going back into the Top 10). Lauren will take votes away from Louisa.

I think she'll be targeted big time by the producers next week. Crap slot, forgettable song, damaging comments...

What do you think?

I do think it's possible. She's definitely outshone Louisa the past two weeks but I doubt they'd want her to win. Plus she'll be stealing belty-female votes from her. I don't know if she'll be thrown under a bus just yet but I think it'd be worth putting money on Cowell bringing out the old 'a bit crusieship' criticism.

I dunno about them trying to get rid of her this coming week but she is due an early slot, probably 3rd or 4th. I think Reggie and Bollie they want rid of soon, they're a lot of fun but they aren't exactly going to be big megastars

This wouldn't help, the producers will most likely destroy her now http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrit...factor-6851519

Lauren is bit out of the line there!!

Quote:
““Every time I get a tear, I’m like: ‘Get a camera out, mate.’ Because they’ll only make you do it again.”

Speaking about almost fainting on the show, the former receptionist adds: “I was drained. I definitely think they should get rid of Six Chair Challenge. I found it horrific. But they won’t – it’s too good TV. Imagine if I did faint. Someone would have got a bonus!”

Chuckling, Lauren adds: “We’ve got a swimming pool in the house but we’re not actually allowed to use it unless there’s a lifeguard. But they said it was fine for Che to jump in with all his clothes on.

“They don’t care if he drowns, as long as they get the shot,” she jokes..”

I love most of this year's contestants! Great to hear so many speaking out despite their contracts. Big cheers for Anton, Michelle, Kiera & now Lauren from me.

Why would they want to do this? I still don't get all these conspiracy theories. Who decided Louisa was favourite and for what reason? It makes no sense. Surely it's in Cowell's interest to see who's the most popular, not try and manipulate things (it's market research for who is likely to be successful afterwards). The fact that Lauren got to #9 on iTunes suggests they'll try and promote her more.

I think they may have missed the boat with Lauren. She may have gained too much momentum to be so easily stopped.

Obviously, they want more than one act to be popular, because more votes = more cash, but I think they have made it very obvious that Louisa is The Chosen One this year. Of course, Simon can and no doubt will sign her even if she doesn't win, but he loses face a bit if she doesn't, and the lower she places the more face he loses.

I have to say, I'm not getting the Lauren love.

For me, she's just a younger Sam Bailey and look how well her winning the show went down with Cowell. Lauren is a belter in a badly fitting jumpsuit and I find the whole 'bubbly' persona as irritating as hell.

Each to their own but she's not for me at all and I'd happily see her eliminated next

I think she's got a good voice. Listen to her judges houses song - there's some very pleasant singing in there. I think she can do more than just scream.

I don't think Nick would have been allowed to loudly proclaim that Lauren was definitely his favourite of the girls on Saturday if they are as taken by Louisa as people seem to think. They seem more keen on Lauren than Louisa if anything.

Lauren is Stacey Solomon to Louisa's Lucie Jones. They know she is much more likely to get the votes from the viewers than Louisa.

at least in this case, both Louisa & Laurent visited mirror's office together. The article sounds like it was an interview with Lauren, because she is more media friendly.

Really don't like Lauren, too chavy.
She can sing alright but really nothing we haven't seen before over and over again.

Same with Louisa, her rendition of "Everybody's free" really wasn't that outstanding.
This endless gushing over "girl doing a key change" year in, year out is so tired.

Well, we are having the stories about her "diva" behaviour this week just because she doesn't want to stay in the house because see misses Sean and Kiera (con't find the article tbh)...so I would say yeah they are gunning for her

I wonder is "voice rest" really "revealing too many secrets to the media" rest?

Either way, it's a bonus side-effect which should help keep the producers off her back and hopefully help her perform well on Saturday.

I would've thought they would be, and that's not to say it won't change the more she talks, but last week they used some of the techniques they use to push down votes for Louisa and, for Lauren, they used the ones to push votes up. In the first week, you can kind of tell from the makeover, how far the contestants are intended to go (Rachel Adedeji; Rachel Hylton, Kandy Rain; etc.), and all signs pointed to Lauren not being their chosen one (in a manner similar to Alexandra, prior to the BGT scandal and reported personality difficulties, ruling out the other two). It could be that Lauren has performed much better in voting numbers than expected, despite minor sabotage, and they've jumped ship, or maybe they were just trying to fiddle the numbers for one week to make sure the right people were in the bottom 3, but it could also be that they'd prefer Lauren to be the one up against this year's important act (I say important act as they may not be able to achieve the win, nor expect them to).

If Louisa and Lauren both visited the Mirror offices together, Louisa obviously had nothing of worth to say, or has been warned by producers not to say too much. Lauren's verbal diarrhoea could be her downfall. I think they were expecting her to mess up the song last week, but she instead raised her game.

However in her favour,I think she is prob the only one left in the comp who wasn't scouted though, as iVe not heard otherwise, which makes her seem more real

I think we can make a compilation of Lauren quotes, media is going to love this girl!

Quote:
“"You are allowed to go home - it's not a prison! I've gone home for a few days just to see my family, that's it, and then somehow it got made out into this big, massive [thing].”

Quote:
“"Everyone loves a bit of drama, but it's not EastEnders, it's X Factor!"”

I hope not Lauren my fav for a number of reasons best overall voice I find Louisa might reach higher but has a tendancy to shout. Lauren also transcends much better on screen appealing to much a wider market.
