Is it fair that the acts that are trying to improve are being eliminated?
big bang theory

Excluding Bupsi who only got to do one performance, is it fair that Seann who was one of the top 5 acts of the series has been eliminated when he put his heart and soul into it? Is it fair that Monica who improved from her Crazy In Love performance got eliminated as soon as she improved from it? Is it fair that Max was not given more credit for significantly improving from his week 1 performance in weeks 2 & 3? And Kiera and Alien Uncovered did actually try to improve but one messed up their sing-off, and the other had Simon sabotaging them with their song choices.

Basically is it fair that Che gets to wail his way through predictable song choices? Is it fair that Lauren hasn't tried to improve enough to not sound like a Cruise Ship singer? Is it fair that Louisa is allowed to sing without performing at all? And is it fair that 4th Impact makes all of their uptempos sound the same as each other with the dance, shout, scream, wail, and the token Rap and then sequence repeated, is that fair on the other contestants who are having to work twice as hard this series to just get through the week while them 4 can just be lazy and not do anything even remotely interesting or out of their comfort zone? For me it's not.

its a competition , it isn't meant to be fair , even your own interpretation of what "fair" means

It seems that the ones standing up for themselves are being given a hard time while the ones sucking up to Cowell are being given a free ride.

I've noticed more solidarity between some of the acts this year. They seem to have a greater awareness of the X Factor machinations & have been more vocal about what's going on. Kiera, Michelle & Anton have clearly let their feelings be known & have all suffered as a result.

Meanwhile Mason "I'm so rebellious" Noise has been behaving like one of Cowell's obedient little puppies, singing Sorry by Bieber etc and is still in the competition.

Louisa has done nothing exceptional but is treated like she has a golden halo.

It's a tv programme ultimately. They cast a few potential winners, a few joke acts, maybe a few villains and the rest are just fodder who are there to make up the numbers, be given bad songs and sent home as soon as they hit the sing off.

I don't think Seann going home was part of the script hence the judges now getting to pick a "wildcard" to go on the tour instead of Monica who earned her place there.

I think the problem is having two contestants eliminated every week. Especially as there were only 13 to begin with! The contestant who is bottom doesn't even get the chance to sing for survival, so if someone good ends up in that spot, they have to leave, no matter how good they are!

The only two 'shock boots' for me were people in the sing-off - Alien (although their sing-off performance really sealed their fate) and Seann, who should have been saved over Mason and performed much better in the sing-off!

Kiera didn't stand out as good or entertainingly bad - she was just meh, which is dangerous for a contestant when two are booted every week.

Imo Monica was thrown under the bus to safe Anton.
Simons criticism of her "Crazy in love" rendition was nonsense and so blatantly just his attempt to distract from Anton, who was shite that week.
Then the next week they made it out like the performance was a complete disaster when 3 out of 4 judges actually liked it.

Monica had potential but was just totally mis-handled by her mentor.

By her mentor...and the whole production crew in general! !! Why was she allowed to sing her own songs during auditions and judges houses. ...but not on the live shows? ????

I think she was thrown under the bus because she was too outspoken.
Something about people who have the ability to think for themselves seems to freak out Cowell and his cronies.

Kiera was one of the best singers in the show. She proved this during her first sing-off when they were supposed to dump her but knew it would look bad because she completely outperformed Alien. Louisa doesn't come close but is constantly praised to high heaven.

She was average IMO. There was nothing special about her, nothing entertaining - she was forgettable. She was lucky that Alien perfomed badly.
