Couldn't really see the point in Sam, he was pretty much useless in everything he touched, couldn't take down figures last week, messed up the sums this week (ok he did justify that in YBF) can't really sell, he did seem to like to hang around in the background, trying to look busy.

It always amazes me how people can go on this show having apparently never seen a second if it, as the basic format is pretty static- It really isn't that hard to watch it and figure out what each task requires
I've seen interviews with candidates from earlier series where the producers were managing them and/or talking them into doing a lot of the facepalm stuff. All candidates will have seen the finished programmes. But, they won't have seen what actually happens during filming. |

My usual Metro review-of-sorts --> Link
Anyone else notice that it wasn't just Sam's numbers who didn't add up? In the boardroom, neither Karren nor Claude's numbers were accurate when they gave the task results. |

When did they show this exchange during the programme? I missed it.

Wonder if Scott and Selina are the two lovebirds
![]() Went right off Scott after he refused to shake Sam's hand, there's nothing more unattractive than a bad sport ![]() Sam seems such a nice guy, how could you bear a grudge against him. It was probably because Sam backed up Brett with the 'smash your face in' comment. |

I'm surprised that nobody in the boardroom brought up the CHOICE of what items to sell, as Scott went for higher price items than Gary.
Who buys an iron on impulse from a one day discount store, for example? |

^^ I was saying this at lunch time in work, who wonders through a shopping centre, suddenly decides they need an iron and they're only going to spend £11.99 at a discount store.
Karen did mention, "so they've all discussed what the buy from a discount store, but have ignored that, and decided to buy electrical items!!" |

Claude's incredulity was brilliant as always. They're meant to pile them high and sell them cheap. They're not piled high and they're not cheap. Humph!

And it should be "different from" not "different to". With grammar like that you'd be Sugar's cup of tea! Sorry; I couldn't resist that. ![]() http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/wo...rom-than-or-to |

Charlene is like Katie Hopkins without the charm.
Katie Hopkins has charm? Where has she been hiding it?

My feeling about this episode was that there was far too much focus on bitching, backstabbing, moaning and other stupid dramas. It took up so much time that the edit of the actual task action was disjointed. Decisions were made with footage of the thought process missing or very brief and, as others have said, the boardroom seemed to gloss over some of the weaknesses that caused the failure of the task.
I didn't enjoy it to the extent that I was only half watching by the mid-point. |

A question on music:
What's the name of that piece of classical music after Sam screwed up the cashier? Many thanks

I just realised that I missed last week's episode and watched it on iPlayer.
Superficial as it might be, the first thing I noticed is what the hell happened to Selina? She looks like she's suddenly put on about 30lbs and she looks rough as a bag of hammers. I don't necessarily mean that as an insult. She looks like she might be in the middle of suffering with some serious illness or something. More importantly, Sam continued to be a complete oxygen thief. His only possible purpose on this planet is for when people require somebody who can speak with a posh accent and he's been taking up a space that could have been used by somebody more competent since the start of this series so it's about time he got the boot. I was very surprised that Scott chose to bring Brett back into the board-room instead of Selina. That seemed completely inexplicable and it's bordering on being a case where the only sensible explanation is that the production team scripted it that way to avoid pitting a pair of obvious no-hopers against each other. I doubt that Brett will win simply because Sugar seems to have an aversion to people from the Armed Forces and from big businesses (possibly thinks - maybe correctly - that such people aren't really good at employing initiative?) but he doesn't seem to have done much particularly wrong yet. Despite winning, Gary seems to be a bit of an oxygen thief (as does David) as well. He usually seems to end up on the winning side but I've never really noticed him doing anything especially good and as PM he was a mess. Charleine, yet again, spent the entire time being bitchy toward Richard. Has she ever been filmed actually being nice to somebody at a time other than directly after leaving the board-room after a win? |
