Is Louisa dislikeable?
Something about her doesn't connect with me, but is it just me? What is it about her that isn't connecting?
I personally always get a sense of "not-genuine" when she's on the screen and I ask myself why she is on the X Factor, as a young, pretty schoolgirl with a good voice probably doesn't need any extra help to get into music, does she? What does anyone else think? |

I think you mean unlikeable? And no I don't feel she is. I mean I'm not particularly drawn to her, she doesn't strike me as being particularly funny or charismatic in the way that Lauren and 4th Impact are. She comes across as slightly bland and cliched in the way she speaks in interviews. However I feel that it may be the case that we are not seeing the real Louisa i.e. because she is the producers' favourite, she is being 'advised' to act in a particular way to fit the narrative for her to win. However I don't think she can be classed as unlikeable. Monica/Mason have done more to be classed as that imo.
Also I think the point you make about her being a young, pretty schoolgirl with a nice voice is very naive. In no way would that guarantee her success in music; there are plenty of similar people who fit that description who have failed to make it and we haven't heard of them for that particular reason. Sadly the music industry is generally about who you know and I suppose Simon Cowell isn't a bad start for Louisa. |

Fantastic voice. Personality of a carrot. She isn't a star by any means.

I find her shyness far more likeable than Lauren's ott ' i'm famous now, look at me etc etc' far more appealing but different strokes i guess

I can't connect with her at all and all the OTT gushing from the judges puts me off even more.

I don't have much of a personal connection with her but she's young and a very good singer. Just because I don't explicitly fandom for her doesn't mean my default position is to dislike though. I still enjoy her and think she deserves to do well.

Not dislikable it's just she doesn't connect with her songs and she does come across a bit like a robot ( a Simon Cowell designed robot)
Yeah nice voice but Lauren is now my favourite girl as she has continued to impress me each week |

No, not in anyway what so ever. Just and attractive and pleasant young girl with a lot of potential talent.

Not dislikeable just a bit meh. There doesn't seem to be anything about her.
As a note of caution, I think we have to be weary of a person's real personality & the one the show allows us to see. I feel a full Ella Henderson moment coming up. Ella was constantly pimped as an amazing talent but made no connection with the audience as there was no personality coming through. Her votes slipped week on week until she hit bottom 2. James Arthur was constantly referred to a "Mr Sexy" and a "heart-throb" by Nicole. Yet he was also struggling in the votes. Chris Maloney was running away with the competition despite being treated like a pantomime villain. Once Ella & James hit B2, it allowed the show to dump her knowing she was already signing up to Syco for a post show career. Tulisa had her faux "It's the public's fault" rant, telling everyone to vote for James Arthur. And the rest is history. So Louisa, like Ella, is getting the full "star without personality" treatment. Which means a couple of dodgy vocal performances will drop her into the bottom two. We found out on Saturday the Rita, Cheryl & Simon all suddenly have a crush on "super sexy Che". Could we have a similar moment this year, with Rita Ora playing the "Tulisa" role? Or maybe they use a bottom 2 position to push Louisa to the win? Either way, someone spent a lot of money syncing all her social media to have the same name. Buying out the @Louisa Twitter name does not come cheap and there are rumours that she has already agreed a post show contract with Syco. |

I think it's easy to forget she's only 17 years old! I believe I'd come across as far from likeable (or whatever that involves on x factor) at that age.
She seems pleasant enough and actually I feel she comes across as older than 17. Leona didn't have much personality, I feel louisa has a bit more to give on that front. Billie Jean performance proved there's more to her personality than meets the eye. Besides, I think talent is way more important. And she has plenty of that in bucket loads. |

Leona had no personality either I felt, talented as she is she was also extremely boring to watch.................I find them both extremely boring but by now we all know Cowell will stretch the Definition of what is the "X Factor" to suit his own needs.

I just don't think she's that good. What I mean is, in terms of the X Factor she is decent. However, really she's just a very good singer. She doesn't know how to use her voice though, there nothing to her lower register, doesn't know how to convey emotion, I feel nothing from her when she sings, I don't think she has much stage prescience. Yes you could argue that she's only 17, however I go to a lot of open mic nights and gigs for unsigned artists and have seen girls much, much, much better than Louisa. All the gushing and fawning that the judges do over her every week is just so cringe and embarrassing. Anyone who is really into music, who goes to a lot of gigs and is really into their music and different music scenes will know that in the grand scheme of things, she really isn't that special or great. The X Factor world isn't real though, there's no real artistry or development with any of these people. Anyone who ever has even a little bit of that is voted off and doesn't stand a chance. The show is about the now and about short term success and money. It's not about spotting talent and developing it. The truth is that none of these people are really any good.

I dont think shes unlikeable, she is a little bland and a bit plain Jane but she has a excellent voice, albeit it gets a little out of control sometimes. I don't think she is the chosen one though to me I think they,re setting her up for a big fall ie Ella v James as people have mentioned. There hasnt really been a shock exit yet infact its been a little predictable. Realistically I don't think she has star potential but she is a decent singer so she could go down the ballad route, though I don't know how she would fair out in the real world. I wish her well, the girl can really sing and she is so young, stage presence can be learnt with time and experiance. |

I never like "the chosen ones".
Whether it's their personality or I'm just sick of them being shoved down our throats, I dunno. |

Luck on her side is I think she would be saved over everyone but 4th Impact |

She's neither particularly unlikeable or likeable, a bit like magnolia paint. Inoffensive. So not really worthy of winning the 'x factor'

Yeah I prefer people that are more interested in getting on with the job so good on her for taking that route. She's a talented girl with a big future out there if she wants it. She seems wiling to put the w2ork in that's required so let's see where it takes her. |

If she has no personality and can't sell herself she won't go far. It takes so much more to make it in the industry than just a decent voice.

No one is going to be the finished article at Louisa's age, and of course she has lots to learn, but everything is there in place for her to go on and do really well providing she has the right people behind her.

I think she's a couple of years too young at the moment. The girl can sing and she does have star quality but she doesn't connect with the songs - probably because she's too young to have really experienced what the lyrics mean.
She's got potential but they need to sell her youth as her feature and not make her middle aged before her time. I'm in agreement with others in finding Lauren for more unlikable. I'm not feeling the love for her at all. Her bubbly cockney persona seems forced and irritating and she's just a younger Sam Bailey belting out dirges wearing a badly fitting jumpsuit. |
