Help With LG U8120

Hi all, anyone managed to use this phone as a modem for dialup? It dials out but then disconnects right away, I have tried all different numbers and if I dial it manually I can here the computer noise!

If I put a 02 sim card in the phone it connects ok but I want to use the 3 network!

thee dont allow data calls and net acsess thus ruling out the modem(in the uk) a bit tight as this is one of the features they use to advertise the phone(IN SOME SHOPS

The phones are not designed to work with O2.
