I am sure some will say this shouldnt merit an entire thread but I wasnt sure where to put it otherwise,,,

David Tennant is starring in the new Marvel TV show Jessica Jones which released today on Netflix in full. He is playing a villain and he is on imperious form based on the episodes I have viewed so far. He is also using his 'Doctor' accent which makes it all the more strange and endearing. But yes. Its a good show in its own right but everytime he is on screen Tennant is bloody amazing.

Perhaps we need a dedicated thread for keeping tabs on Who alumni and their latest projects?

Very excited about this. LOVE David Tennant. LOVE Krysten Ritter. LOVE Mike Colter.

And I'm a big Marvel comic book fan too.

It's all terribly exciting! I think a Who alumni thread is great idea.

Thanks for the heads up of what accent he uses in Jessica Jones. His american one in Gracepoint was awful.

I started one a while back but rather than keeping it to current/upcoming projects which was it's aim people just started listing everything former DW actors had been in.

Whoa! I just realised. Mat Smith was in Moses Jones, and David Tennant is in Jessica Jones.

Coincidence or what?

Funny though, IMO.

Have only watched the first ep which was good but only featured DT as a menacing disembodied voice. He is a fantastic actor though so I am looking forward to seeing him as the bad guy for a change.

i am rather ashamed at how many episodes I have watched already but lets just say it gets better and better as does Tennants role. Its a bit of a slow burner and goes at a fair leisurely pace at least by Marvel standards but all the better for it. That said its not as good as DD for me but Tennant really is outstanding.

So with Tennant Marvelling it up and Michelle Gomez over in Gotham, I guess The Doctor and The Master are enemies in every fictional universe.

Somewhere on earth a former forum member whose name might or might not rhyme with GarlicDuster is probably already writing the 43 part Multi-verse super cross-over event fan fic and is trying to find a way to shoe-horn Emmerdale farm in there somewhere.

I look forward to seeing you there, as I fully intend to watch Jessica Jones very soon.
By most accounts it's a great series, as is David Tennant as Kilgrave.

With Frazer Hines cropping up a few times, no doubt!

I'll be honest, I think Jessica Jones as a series (and comic story which admittedly I'd never heard of before this year) has pushed me over to the dark side.
I mean, I'm "hashtag TeamPurple". I am rooting for Tennant's evil "Dr Purple".
I hope Jessica loses the war.

Have you read the comics/watched the show? I'd hope nobody who has done would support Kilgrave...

The Ninth Doctor and Amy have also gone to Marvel - but Rory's on DC!

I watched the first 4 episodes straight the other night, its pretty good

I also watched Terminator Genisys last night, I totally didn't realise Matt Smith was SkyNet, I always thought it was Google ...

Technically that's the other way around - she was in Captain America: The First Avenger BEFORE Doctor Who.

Have you actually seen the show?! Some of the things Tennant does are absolutely horrific. I had to look away a couple of times like when he:
