I understand the point the dance off but after someone has been in the dance off, 5 times, they should let the person go. It would be horrible if Jamelia stayed and was in the dance off for the 6th time. It's better that she goes when people think that she shouldn't have gone because she did a good dance.

This is probably going to be unpopular (which is why I've avoided posting until now!) but I really felt for Helen tonight. I thought she'd psyched herself out before she even went on to dance yesterday, you could see it in her eyes on the balcony. Her Charleston looked so much better in training and it was clear from the results show she was upset because she knew she'd messed up. Hopefully she can overcome her nerves in time for next week.

If that's all you were trying to do then it would have been much better to quote my comment that Jamelia wasn't good rather than my comment that the DO could have gone either way.
I think you were attempting and failing to imply some kind of inconsistency on my part.

I agree. By all accounts they always film extra stuff when filming the Sunday show but for whatever reason (the Peter dislike I guess) it has been made an issue this time.
Jamelia danced brilliantly in the dance-off - if she hadn't been in the dance-off so many times before I'd be right at the front of the outrage bandwagon, but this time I just feel like some peoples Peter hate is fueling their reaction. I'm just happy that Jamelia went out on a good dance.

I felt for Helen tonight. She looked really upset after the dance. I would imagine she's a bit of a perfectionist.

Totally agree with you. When a person ends up in dance off 5 times, Ballroom or Latin made no difference, you have to let go. You have to give a a chance to the person who had just landed there with a bad dance.
I am all for scrapping the dance off and the person at the bottom after both votes are added should go and that way Jamelia would have long ago. She should be grateful that thanks to dance off she got to go to Blackpool.
People also don't realize how easy is for a female celebrity to dance with the Male Pro and hard for a Male celebrity to lead and dance with a female Pro.

Helen confuses me. She can dance like a dream but she doesn't give herself to the performance on the night. I wish she could but she's leaving me colder and colder.

I feel for Helen - the pressure of too high expectations from everyone I think. I'll be interested to see how she feels about it when she's on ITT. She should very well with the VW next week.

Hello! I think I must be the only person who's warmed to her SINCE she's been on the show! Probably because she reminds me a lot of myself, I can dance an awful lot better in a practice room than I've ever managed in competitions. The pressure of being 'on show' freaks me out a little, and obviously she has it ten times worse than I do entering amateur comps! I get that she's an actress but so many actresses seem to be incredibly shy having to be themselves in front of a camera. I think a lot of her 'aloofness' is just her being quiet and shy and a bit of a perfectionist. But yes, she is definitely much more suited to ballroom, so fingered crossed for her VN!

While reading the whole thread at once thought i'd break in here, yes I know i'm very late.
All this fake fuming over Peter being "Overmaked", he was at this point and then finished bottom of the Leaderboard, whether he got between 1 and 29 points doesn't matter because he couldn't go any lower.
Don't get the hatred for Peter which is now bordering on the Psychotic

Anyone know the name of the song used in the VT on the results show when they did a review of what happened? It is the same song that was also used on Kirsty's VT on the launch show.
