Yeah, I was a little surprised to see her front and centre behind Claudia last night after all the tabloid news about her and the interview she gave saying it was all a fix. I expected the BBC to have her in a cupboard somewhere and just wheel her out for group dances then put her out of sight again.

Well, its not exactly quitting when she has to work out the rest of her contract, lol. No as if she is walking out or anything.

Pity he's too much of an arrogant prat to fully appreciate it.

Tabloids are notorious for putting a sensationalist spin on anything they report. Everyone speculates about the programme trying to influence voting, and Ola was possibly just responding in the same vein to a leading question.”

Some people just don't like her! Don't you think calling James an 'arrogant prat' is rather nasty?

I somehow cannot imagine BBC executives speaking to tabloid rag like the Mirror (far worse than The Sun) on a Saturday. It starts off saying 'executives' but later it is 'a source' (Tea Boy?) then 'very senior staff' (Head Tea Boy?).

If they were so angry and spoke to a rag like the Mirror then I would have expected them also to have pulled her out of the programme yesterday and sent her home.

I liked Ola and James, and wish them the very best for the future...

Yeah - they wouldn't have let her stand front and centre if they were as miffed as all that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that some will be pretty angry (& rightly so) but the whole 'she'll never work for us again!' Exclusive? Nah - don't see it. They may think it, of course!

It's not whether Ola is right or not - we know she is, themes and song choices are used to occasionally manipulate the results. Of course some couples will have a strong enough public vote to compensate for it, at least for a while like Dave, Jeremy, Carol, Judy, Russel, Mark etc, but mostly it does work and Ola has been on the receiving end of that (in particular when she was dancing with Ashley). We all know it happens and has happened for years and years. The problem is, a bit like Robin's interview last year, is pulling the curtain back kinda looks like sour grapes. In this case in particular because she and James (because this has his touch all over it) didn't wait until the season ended to do it and did it to get maximum coverage for themselves.

I'm not an Ola fan but I've liked her more this year than most because I really liked that she was interacting with the other pros and the ~source stories etc had stopped, but the way she's gone about this stinks.

LOL. you have a point. However, this thread is about Ola, and not James. I find James amusing and direct, and I enjoy reading his Twitter feed on occasion, but he is an arrogant prat, and he'd probably admit as much himself in times of honesty. It's not fair to lump Ola in with James as cut from the same cloth because she is a completely different personality type to his, despite being very loyal and supportive of him.
