Historically the judges vote on the dance off ONLY when it suits them. There have been numerous occasions where they've voted on ability overall - I suspect if it is PA v Jamelia (and I hope it's not her) they'll vote her out citing all her previous DO making her the weaker overall. Would love to be proved wrong tho

As long as Jamelia is not in the DO I'm happy

Should be Peter v Helen. The second half of her dance was much worse than the judges' comments.

Up until tonight's dance disaster, I'd have completely agreed but if he is in the dance off, the show would lose every bit of credibility if the judges voted to keep him. If he's in it, I think he's in trouble.

Will his fan base save him, I wonder.

He doesn't have much of a fan base, and the only poll that he has topped in here is for the least favourite couple.

Since when have the polls here mattered on the overall result?

When I consistently mention that Jay is a shoo-in for the win, I am forever being told that DS represents a very small portion of the voters - and, therefore, it is not a clear-run thing.

Applying the same logic to Peter, maybe his undoubtedly massive fanbase out there will save him.

I know that's like a knife in the heart to you and exactly what you don't want to hear...but there it is...

You can only pray that your WISH (cos that's all it is) comes true - but, my advice to you?... don't hold your breath...

Are you sure about that? He's clearly the judges favourite, for whatever reason... I think the only one who would definitely beat him is Georgia.

Just think Pixie last year. There was no way she should have gone when she did.

I don't actually think his fan base is that big.

And even if it quite big, who is to say that they all watch Strictly or are able to? Some might be in other countries.

In the unlikely scenario that Jay ended up in the DO there is no way that the judges would vote for Andre over him after the way they praised his Salsa last night, even though they still undermarked him.

I have a feeling that it will be Helen and Andre, and then he will certainly go.

The concern for Peter fans should be that he wasn't able to deliver a better dance at this stage of the competition. He was truly dire last night mainly because he reverted to doing what he always does - show moves not dance moves.

I really don't know why the BBC and the judges love Peter. They seem to think he is their star catch. I don't mind Peter but have always thought of him as publicity hungry the sort of person who would pay them to go on the show not the other way round. Hopefully it will be Peter and someone else in the dance off as no way will the judges save Jamelia over Peter no matter how good she dances.

No, you're not being cynical at all. It looks to me as though they have to keep him in because of some contractual agreement. He's been over-marked and over-praised in a manner that is patently engineered.

Last night's 'performance' was pathetic, with not a single redeeming feature other than the backing dancers.

If he gets saved we will absolutely know that SCD and PTB have all lost the plot and and any integrity, and has become another cynical, manipulated prime time viewing farce.

I don't see how the judges can send Jamilia home if she dances as well as she did last night. They gave her higher scores than Andre, so how could they possibly justify keeping him in if they both end up in the DO?

If you look at Peter, Helen, Kellie Bright and to an extent Jay, they haven't improved at all. They've either stayed the same level, or had a dodgy week and gone back to the original level. Jamelia Katie and Georgia have shown improvement. So has Anita but she was good to start with.

So if it is these two in the dance off then if you are judging on the criteria I have mentioned Peter should be on his bike. Unless Jamelia trips up or something.

My thoughts exactly!! Andre was just awful last night but Helen's Charleston really didn't do it for me either!! Jamelia was great, she doesn't deserve the DO tonight!! Georgia, Anita & Kellie were last night's winners for me, all brilliant!!

Yes, she will, but we kind of knew that the whole thing was a bit iffy. Deep down.

PTB stand for Powers That Be - the producers of the show. Apologies for reverting to the dreaded acronym L Hunk!
