Georgia is my favourite overall but I have to be fair - Anita danced the best tonight.

Anita's was the really WOW performance for me tonight. But very much liked Georgia's and Katie's dances too.

Jay and Aliona, undermarked as usual, they should have been last then I am sure that there would have been at least one 10.

I agree Jay was undermarked, like I mentioned elsewhere he and Anita owned the night and should have been joint top.

Anita's by far. i wanted to be wowed by Georgia's but I wasn't.

Definitely the two best for me tonight although like someone else said apart from Peters jive that wasn't a jive and Helens obvious mistakes they were all good tonight.

Jay nailed his choreography and had effortless lifts and style, Anitas was a staging triumph and while not technically as good the drama was unbeatable. I'll be gutted if these two are not finalists.

Its difficult to choose between them but as Jay is my overall favourite i have gone for him.

Georgia's was easily the most perfect.

Anita & Gleb - re watching it now as I can't sleep. Jay & Aliona also danced amazingly well.

And even if he was "the best" tonight, why don't we give it to someone else to make up for the fact that he has easily won in previous weeks when he had glaring errors and was absolutely not the best?

I'm a GG fan and I loved their dance but another dance was the dance of the night for me (Anita and Glebs). I thought the question was the best dance.. and for me it was.

I mean you don't just pick the couple you want to win/like best regardless every week, do you?

"Jay should have closed tonight" is subjective but it isn't rubbish. There is reason behind it.

Jay's performance "VERY clearly wasn't" best tonight is subjective but is a bit rubbish. Even the judges (with a possible agenda) thought it was close.

They pick as they suit Dervla - hence why I created this weekly poll in the first place. It was designed to counter the "Favourite Couple" poll, which is, more than likely, going to produce the same result week in, week out (Jay winning).

After a number of weeks, however, it is clear that the majority see the two polls as exactly the same thing. The only time Jay has not won the DANCED IT BEST poll was when he was deliberately left out of the poll last week - and see the furore it caused even then!!!

Point proven, methinks...

I've voted for other couples too before now, Pretz. I'd love Georgia to be ahead in every poll but -- fair play to Peter and his comment in the Clauditorium here -- you can't be top every week. In any case, whatever fans say in enthusiasm, I'd be pretty surprised if the pros and the celebs don't look at their routine with a healthy dose of realism afterwards. Or there would be nooooo improvement.


Well-proven. (My only problem is my own ignorance about dance. I have to listen to the judges and the more expert-sounding posters to actually know what I'm looking at, so 'best' probably has to mean for me 'most moving' or 'most emotional' or 'most exciting' or something untechnical like that.)

There was me thinking IYO meant 'in your opinion' Some people seem to have forgotten the meaning of that those words.
I voted for the dance IN MY OPINION was the best tonight, the only one that entertained me and the only one I'd be interested in re-watching (which I have numerous times already) and that was Jay & Aliona

Good post - but I would only change BIB to "the majority"...and that includes me as poll creator!!!

Still, a good discussion board SHOULD evoke a certain amount of emotion, so we all get a bit overprotective our faves and sometimes more than a little nasty against those we like the least - though I personally veer away from nasty personal comments to other posters and about celebrities - as that is just unnecessary - end of.

I can EASILY admit these things without worrying that my entire world will implode in the process...there ARE more important things - in MY life anyway...

I've never been nasty about any of the other celebs. I don't see the point in it. If I don't like someone I try to stay away from any threads to do with them and if I do reply I try to do so without sounding nasty. I'd rather have a good discussion without it resulting in insults.

I tend to stay away from the MF for that reason. As a fan of Jay I think he gets a hard time, as do his supporters, on the MF. Not by any stretch am I implying he is the only one, I am no fan of Peter but he too gets a hard time. Instead of some people taking digs at someone who they aren't a fan of they could be bigging up their fave.

I know nothing about all the technical side of the dancing, I can only judge by how I feel watching it. Does that mean I vote for Jay every week....Yes, that doesn't make it wrong he's just the only on that makes me feel anything.
