I couldn't agree more.
I mean, calling Peter "an orange munchkin", Kellie "butch" and "not feminine" and Jamelia " irrelevant"?? Apart from being extremely unkind, what impact do any of those (if even true) have on their dancing ability??

Excuse my ignorance but what is the MF?
The "hard time" Jay gets is ironically BECAUSE of the demi-godlike status his fans have given him. His is about extremes - the majority practically worship him (for whatever reason). This means that those who are not supporting him feel like he has taken over the entire show and all the social media that goes with that. The result? Less and less time and notice is afforded to their fave leading to a backlash of negativity towards him.
Several did not even want Peter on the show (or Jamelia for that matter - though I think she is beginning to melt a few initially frosty hearts after her 4 DO triumphs). So, once confirmed, before he'd even danced a step, Peter's "haters" looked for any stick they could beat him with. Once the dancing started, he was obviously the one who was overmarked", "the one who always goes last", the one who's Charleston was the worst dance to be ever seen on Strictly", "teacher's (judges) pet" etc. Even If he had danced Jay's Jive to that standard or Georgia's Charleston, they would never have merited more than an 8 with several here. So he came in with a helluva lot of negativity surrounding him.
My point is, we can't love everyone's dancing and we can't hate everyone's dancing. But let's keep this in perspective. Yes we many not like someone - but personal insults about their looks, previous reputation...just not on. Respect for another human being is just that . Vicious personal comments - because of a celebrity's participation in a DANCING SHOW - is so not the way to go. I so hope it is not the case next year...

I always vote on what I see (with no technical mind). I loved Peter's Charleston - I hated his Jive..even though I am actively supporting Anita & Gleb (hated their Charleston, loved their Paso), Katie & Anton (loved their VW & Tango, hated their Cha Cha) and Georgia & Giovanni (loved their Tango, QS and Samba, hated their Waltz). I will not just blindly vote to neither support for the sake of it or spite someone else.
Live and let live - that's what I say.
