1. Yes Craig was mean but Tess did set him up by asking if Jamelia would be safe. A bit unfair.
2. Did not like Anita's paso at all. No dancing content from her and, like others, didn't realise Gleb was there to start with. 3. Yes I think Helen was injured and maybe why she had a "fixed" grin. Think Bruno picked up on it as she had trouble on the stairs but Aliasz appeared to cover for her. I wonder if the group dance at the beginning is too much for the non-pros?? 4. Katie and Anton - A MAYZ ING! And lovely to see Erin again. 5. Jamelia upped her game but I wonder if Tristan is not really interested any more? Cheeky 6 - read the spoiler thread AFTER the results show ![]() Cheesier 7 - thought I had read somewhere that Kellie requests shorter dresses? Don't know why!! |

1) Obviously spotting is no longer required for spins - 10s for Georgia.
2) Obviously full Flamenco shaping is no longer required in a Paso - 10s for Anita. 3) Obviously a vase shape is no longer required from the female in Ballroom dances - 10s for Kellie. 4) Obviously character is no longer required in a Charleston - 9s for Helen. 5) Obviously kicks and flicks are no longer a complete necessity in a Jive - 8s for Peter. |

1. Peter's jive - what the hell was that? A complete mess.
2. G & G - beautiful - though the backing dancers were an unnecessary distraction 3. So happy for Anita getting a 10 - not saying it deserved a 10 but judges' scoring is irrelevant to me now, so inconsistent. 4. Kellie must have upset Vicki, she looks horrific every week. 5. Love Helen but that Charleston just didn't work. Cheeky 6. Jamelia did fab tonight - if it's her & Andre bottom 2, judges will look ridiculous if they choose him. |

1 Poor Kellie
2 There's something about Katie's face that makes me not like her 3 But I LURRRVE Joe Varney 4 Did anyone REALLY 'cover the floor' much this year? (drink) 5 If you want to know what a jive looks like then don't ask Janette |

But once we reach this stage they should know the rules and the judges should apply them! Some is a bit subjective - Anita's drama, Helen showing character or not - but some aren't, like gapping and pointing toes. |

1. Mostly really enjoyed it and I usually hate Blackpool.
2. This may partly be because I absolutely loved Jay and Aliona's salsa and was then happy about the world for the rest of the night! 3. It felt very much to me that almost everyone did really well and upped their game but - imo - that Jay, Georgia and Anita were ahead as the top three and I really hope all of them will be in the final - I think it would be poorer if they weren't. I keep changing my mind about who should be with them. Probably Kellie only on last night, but I'd also happily have Helen or Katie. There are going to be some tough dance offs ahead. 4. Poor Helen - I think she had a wobble or something went wrong. I went back and watched it again and it was actually better than I'd first thought - I think my expectations were too high. 5. Jamelia did her best dance and I thought the judges could have been kinder. Tristan looked furious and I agreed with him. Bonus 6th: Wasn't it great to see ERIN!

The two dances I loved were Georgia's (sublime choreography, romance and beautiful dancing from both Georgia and Giovanni too) and Katie and Anton's (glamour and finesse from both dancers).
Of the others, * Anita is always competent, but the routine felt like a long intro which led nowhere. * Helen's dress was possibly too short, and it exposed a certain stiffness in her legs; * Peter's dance needed better basic technique, but he sold the routine; * Jamelia had footwork errors, some gapping, and her dress and hair dragged the routine back, but she mostly kept on top of some very challenging choreography. * Jay's salsa was good, but he's always a bit low-key. Even though I've enjoyed all Jamelia's dancing a lot, I think I'd prefer to have the others stay in, as I prefer the more polished performances. |

Of the others, Anita is always competent, but I didn't like the routine - it felt like an extremely long intro which didn't go anywhere. Helen's dress was possibly too short, and it exposed a certain stiffness in her legs; Peter's jive didn't have enough traditional jive content, and the kicks and flicks weren't great, but I think he really sold the routine; Jamelia had some mistakes in the footwork, her frame went at times causing too much gapping, and her performance level isn't quite at the standard of the others, partly due to the challenging routine, and partly due to that particular dance/choreography. Nevertheless, she and Tristan should be really proud to have attained that standard in such a short time. Even though I've enjoyed all Jamelia's dancing a lot, I think I'd prefer to have the others stay in, as I prefer the more polished performances. |

Extra: Given the number of replies in the spoiler thread, I am guessing it's a shock elimination - maybe Jamelia v Peter with him going!?

1. I wish they would get rid of the backing dancers. Too often rather than add to the dance they prove to be merely a distraction.
2. For the fourth consecutive week Georgia & Giovanni danced the best. Their AS was quite beautiful, danced with tremendous grace and elegance. 3. Anita and Gleb's Paso was dramatic, spectacular and made for compelling viewing. However notwithstanding that, I didn't think Anita's Paso technique was that impressive. Maybe it was a case of style over substance. 4. Jay's Salsa was most enjoyable and he was able to express the joie de vivre and party spirit associated with the dance. However his technique was far from perfect, and if anything he was slightly overmarked (but then he wasn't the only one). 5. It didn't matter how many backing dancers she had, nothing was going to distract from Helen's facial expressions during that Charleston. She took kookiness to a whole new level with them. Going by the training clips I expected hers to be dance of the night, but it certainly didn't materialise that way. |

1. My favorite two dances all night were the first 2 from Jay and Jamelia.
2. Peter's Jive was bad. It was just bad. 3. There didn't appear to be a lot of actual content in Anita's Paso. Just a lot of shirtless men and drama faces. I feel like she's been slightly underscored all series and then tonight of all nights her score felt a bit generous. He hands were nice though. 4. I don't think any of the dances should have scored a 10 but I suppose there had to be some because Blackpool. 5. The opening might have looked better if there hadn't been so many people on the floor. I think they overdid it. |

I just want to say how much I LOVE this thread! It's genius!
I often don't manage to watch the show until Monday- so I get to read this thread first. Your thoughts not only entertain me, they double my enjoyment of the show itself Two weeks ago I was nearly beside myself with curiosity to see Kellie's much maligned foxtrot dress! And I regularly snort out loud with laughter when I recognise things (trotting ponies/no knees/ elbowing in the clauditorium etc) that you guys have commented on ![]() Keep them coming! |

1. Just watched results show, how could judges see improvement in Peter's dance. Fix
2. Loved Anita's Paso,, very dramatic. And Glep Phew! Loved him as a Matador 3. Katie and Anton was a proper ballroom dance and a proper ballroom gown. Lovely 4. Find Helen very flat to watch, not really enjoyed any of hers. 5. Cannot take to Kellie and Kevin goodness knows what the judges see in them. Back to the last comment on number one! |

5 more comments post-results show:
1. Katie needed red lipstick. She looked very wan waiting to hear who was through and in the DO. 2. Claudia looked beautiful and sexy when windswept. Loved her dress. 3. Jamelia was very gracious in defeat but went into the DO whipping up the crowd. Loved that. Also her solo twirl in her goodbye dance. I would have loved had she run around the floor screaming 'I'm free'! 4. How ironic that Ola's comments about rigging are released as the rigging was laid out naked. 5. Gleb: I think he's sending up the adoration of himself by the ovaries and scrotums that watch SCD. When he starred at the camera as Anita was announcing their rumba . That guy has a sense of irony.

1) Wish Aliona would led Jay dance more - really liked his salsa though.
2) A bit tired of Gleb's chest making a guest appearance (sorry for being a prude) 3) Georgia's AS was wonderful. 4) Poor Helen, the standard of the two previous Charlestons must have really heaped the pressure on her. 5) Surely Peter can't get any more unpopular ... oh, he just did. |
