Why are they praising the awful Reggie and Bollie?

The final has to be Reggie and Bollie being uber contemporary with 'In the Navy' or Agadoo, and Anton doing his 'if I vote for you please leave my family alone' face to something by Elaine Paige.

Ds forumers: Their style of music is different to what we see on mainstream talent shows? They don't stand still and belt out a whitney song? They have fun on stage and (gasp) get the audience to have fun too? What is this urban music? They must be a joke act.

It's urban music in the sense that Vanilla Ice was 'street/rap'.

If they really were contemporary artists who produced urban music why the hell would they even audition for the X-Factor in the first place? They wouldn't. You aren't a budding credible urban artist and then sign up to prance around stage in bright clothng singing Britney Spears and One Direction covers.

It hilariously puts in to perspective what a joke the show has now become.

I think Simon and co decided they provide the "fun" that xfactor so desperately needs so they are being carried along

Tonight was very OTT in staging and production much like Fleur last year. It's to carry them through to the final I think

Vocally they are terrible

Reggie and Bollie are about as "urban" as S Club 7

I'd like to see how well they would do without the army of backing dancers and loud backing track to cover their vocals.

Didn't we all already establish that their vocals weren't good???

They are pop fodder that can sell a few mindless tunes. That is what this show is about and not about finding anyone else who doesn't fit that narrow thing.

Agreed, if only it could be like the good old days and proper vocalists like Wagner, Jedward, and Chico.

They are fun and provide entertainment. Would much rather watch them than bore fest Che and Louisa.

The show needs them and the judges are well aware of this. Without them we would just have constant boring ballads from Che, Louisa, Anton and Lauren.

They are out to find someone that would be successful in mainstream radio which means they need to be relevant... Most of the acts are, the only act that is completely irrelevant is Anton...and Reggie n Bollie is the most contemporary which counts for a lot, not that it is the only thing...and what's the narrow thing???

Not really. They debuted with an original song that was actually good and had the audience dancing despite having never heard them before. And they were credible artists in Ghana. Bollie had an awesome song called you may kiss your bride. I am finding them so refreshing and fun.

Their vocals are not any worse than Robbie Williams, Liam Gallagher, Diana Ross and many major stars. Never did them no harm

You don't need to be a great vocalist to be a great artist.

Given the choice of Reggie & Bollie or the shouty diva screaming out such wrist slitting numbers like

Clown
Halo
One Night Only
I'm telling you

And adding nothing different to the previous years contestants, then I would gladly pick Reggie & Bollie any day of the week. Yes they could well be classed as a fun joke act, but they provide something different in a stale setting.

In recent chart history, it has proven greatly like fun acts like P!nk can sell records and sell out arena's worldwide, and the brilliant Lana Del Rey, sure her songs are quite haunting, but she provides something different & interesting to the industry.

Did they do the theme ?

If you bought one of their records you would have all of them.

The ultimate one trick ponies.

Jumping around and grinning doesn't equate to real "fun" does it? The same holiday camp style act every week.

I honestly cannot see them winning the show. She is not my favourite but can see Louisa actually winning.

I don't think they will win, but hope they make the final at least.

They would be great with the Wembley crowd.

As others have said, we don't want a final with three balladeers.

EDIT Even if their live vocals are bit off, that can be fixed in a studio (if they ever do make a record).

ROFL.

I take it you are joking?

Their singing is no better or worse than the acts you mention.

If anything I find them more likeable than Jedward who I found irritating to the point of wanting to punch them in the face.

The original shut up and dance is a much more fun track to listen to.

R&B seem lovely guys and they're harmless, but what riles me is the ludicrous Judges Standing Ovations for them.

Consider that Leona Lewis sang Summertime so brilliantly it still ranks as one of the best performances of Pop Star/Rival/Idol/X Factor of all time - yet even that didn't get a JSO.

That is an insult to Afrobeats Artists. Fela Kuti will be turning in his grave.
