I'm out tonight so will watch this tomorrow. I hope it's good. I've seen some amazing preview pieces but also a few that have warned it's going to be a bit marmite. Will have to see. Fingers crossed!

I was a little too drunk when Time of the Doctor first aired (very drunk) and it spooked me out of my wits. The hologram of Tasha Lem beckoning the Doctor and Clara is a little bit surreal when you're intoxicated.

In other words we might get a lot of "this is the worst episode ever" posts from the usual suspects??

Slightly off topic - interesting synopsis and description for Hell Bent in the latest Radio Times delivered today.

Spoiler

Synopsis : (page 56)
With both his hearts broken and everthing taken from him, the betrayed Doctor musters up the strength to confront the Time Lords in a struggle that will take him to the end of time itself.

Description : (page 54)

After the events of the previous episode, the last place you might expect to find the Doctor is sitting in an American diner in Nevada, playing blues guitar and opening his heart to a waitress who looks all too familiar. That's only the start of a remarkable concluding episode, which sees the Doctor back on his home world Gallifrey, pitted against the high echelons of the Time Lords.

What else to tell ? The wonderful Clare Higgins returns as Ohila, leader of the Sisterhood of Karn, who shows up for an auspicious day : "One so loves fireworks". There's a cheer-worthy regeneraton. The Tardis has never looked more beautiful, Perhaps we haven't quite heard the last of Jenna Coleman as Clara or Maisie Williams as the eternal Ashildr.

Above all, showrunner Steven Moffat draws the cords of time together for a poignant and satisfying final chapter to a crackling series.

Guest cast listed as : The President : Donald Sumpter, The General : Ken Bones, Female General : T'nia Miller, Gastron : Malachi Kirby, Ohila : Clare Higgins, The Woman : Linda Broughton, Plump Man : Martin T Sherman.

You can count on that. Probably about 5 minutes into the episode.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... timey wimey... stuff.

Always look forward to Who, but am particularly stoked for this and next week. I know that because I seldom use the word 'stoked'. (I am also rather pumped and somewhat psyched.)

Good luck, people. See you on the other side...

Nice direction, I'm getting an M.R.James vibe to the presence of the ghostly figure.

This is the first time we've only had the lead actor's name credited in the opening titles right? It's always been at least two names, even in the Tennant specials when he was travelling alone?

That would go along with the theory that the "They" that Ashildr was working for last week are the Time Lords

Well this is the only time the Doctor has been the only (speaking) character in an episode isn't it?
