Getting rid of the best singers at JH has proved to be the producers' masterstroke.

Pretty sad that this becomes a distant memory and people start talking about other things as the lives progress.

The show would be so much better with Peyton, Caitlyn and Nate. The producers could probably still have engineered a win for the chosen one but chose the cushy route instead.

The problem that hurts Saara and Relley is that their style of Music has been seen all before on this show, and after the Zombie won last year they're not gonna push for another winner exactly like her again the year after, even if they've both got more vocal talent.

I suppose 5 After Midnight will be mostly getting votes from young lasses. They're quite good at dancing.

One Direction were atrocious singers when they first got formed and look at how well they did. The producers will know that young lads and lasses will be voting in their droves for the boy bands/girl groups. Appealing to the young lads/lasses out there will make loads of money when it comes to music. I bet Cowell has made a fortune from One Direction.

She has a fantastic voice. I think she needs to lay off with the belting out of songs and just show us how good her singing really is. It'll be a real shame if she gets voted off.

She is better than at least half of the acts for sure.

Samantha is the value bet around 16/1 don't think she will win but I think it will be her Matt and the boyband in the final

Samantha looks great on TV and has a nice tone when she hits certain notes but overall is a pretty poor singer and lacks both range and control.

I think that Samantha's got potential, I mean she made Hello be credible for god sake that's a miracle in itself.

What Samantha should've had before the lives even started was some vocal coaching as they've seemingly been replaced with Brian Friedman.

Well said. She's been bullied by the show and looks like her swansong will see her running round the stage in a Bjork pastiche whilst the audience look confused as they've never heard Oh So Quiet in their lives as they weren't even born. Quite why the producers feel the need to mock her for being European is beyond me.

Caitlyn just wasn't ready to be at this level yet. She will be back next year along with Luena.

I agree with a lot of this. I don't recall Caitlyn so she can't have made any impression on me but Peyton, Nate, James and Anelisa for me were the best auditionees this year and would have at least made it feel like a competition instead of a 2 horse race, at best

4OD have now dropped below Ryan in the betting to be eliminated this weekend. Interesting.

She was one of the standout auditions and was on the very first episode as I recall. Vocally far superior to most contestants who made the lives and would have been a threat to the chosen one. He problem is that the producers don't seem to favour overweight contestants and they know she can really sing. Plus back to back girl winners is probably not on their agenda.

Either Ryan's got a great performance coming up, or 4OD has got a really bad performance in the works.

I'm believing it to be the latter.

Some interesting developments in the betting over the last 24 hours as Emily has dropped from 3rd down to 6th place having been overtaken by Gifty, Honey and Sam. She could be in trouble at the weekend looking at this.

Maybe some people have got wind of the song choices - it's strange she would drop suddenly.

The producers might get their Ryan v Emily after all

I'd be interested in how big the X Factor betting market is, I can't imagine it's massive so any large bets could distort it hugely.

Not a huge surprise.

Ryan was nowhere near good enough for the lives and whether intended or not, they have made a complete mess of Emily.
