I've been thinking this since the start of the series.
I don't think he's gay I just think he has a flamboyancey that a lot of Latin dancers have about them. I think there's probably is something between him and Joanne though. I've never seen to people look more thrilled to be dancing with one another.

Ignore me! (Not literally!!) I was just messing with the poll idea.
After watching newbies Giovanni and Gleb over the last few weeks, I much prefer Giovanni. He is obviously training hard with Georgia but at least they have some fun and she is enjoying the experience whereas Gleb and Anita are taking it all very seriously. Gleb hardly smiles. Giovanni's training method is obviously working as Georgia is improving all the time. Georgie is my second favourite but I would be quite happy if she won. I hope Gio stays next year.

Yes, he seems to be getting the balance just right. Hes a strict teacher (and is pushing her hard to get the best out of her) yet remains a fun partner/friend who she can get support from and enjoy the experience with. They both seem to be driven and hardworking, yet laid back enough to have a laugh with it too.
Of course you want to get as far as you can in the competition, but its a once in a lifetime opportunity....you'd want to have fond and happy memories too.
Female celebs of certain age want Anton, because they laugh a lot. Those that want something to learn would prefer Giovanni or even Gleb. There's nothing wrong about being focused. BTW that chief SCD choreographer was rather naughty yesterday when he talked about how they got the new pros. He said something along the lines: "I knew Gleb from DWTS, Oti was recommended by her sister, who is on similar programme in Germany. And we found Giovanni wandering around in Soho"

Jason did say 'bless him!' a couple of times too...I mentioned elsewhere that you get a sense that he is thought of affectionately by the others, and probably more often than not the target for teasing.

as I said on the Team GG thread, Giovanni is a fantastic dancer and choreographer and looks quite nice too, so I'd be amazed if he wasn't asked back next year
he and Georgia seem to get on so well, it's as though they've known each other for years and I loved their interview on ITT tonight, especially the capework

I liked him trying out the Gleb 'stay!' and Georgia laughing at him, saying 'don't you dare!' I agree, they have a great relationship, which translates really well on the dancefloor too.
Gio clearly loves the attention (especially from the ladies!) and camera too, but in a more subtle way than Gleb.
