I would love it if Robert did buy half as it cements his place in the village. I'm loving ED at the mo with Sugden family moments and Aaron/Chas stuff, Aaron and Robert growing closer and getting back together within next 6 months or so would be the icing on the cake.

It might not be Gordon could be his wife or child? I suppose it makes more sense for it to be Gordon though. I would guess he knows plenty about Aaron then if he's that local, I mean Aaron has been in the papers recently.

With Diane and Chas making amends it again seems odd that Diane would be selling the pub.

Suppose it could be Sandra or his other child, but like you said, it'd make more sense to be Gordon.

I agree about the last part, unless there are plans to sell the pub but then they reconcile and they stop it.

But would Gordon be a familiar face for Diane? Does she even know him? It's not like Diane and Chas were friends back when she was married to him.

Although I agree that I would like the idea that Gordon finds out about Chas' troubles and decides to contact her, rather than him just randomly showing up in the village.

Regarding him living locally, he might have moved back to the area recently after several years away (as in abroad). They often do that in soaps, when they need a reason for someone not knowing what's been happening.

Finally, I wouldn't put too much weight into the fact that Chas needing money is Aaron's motive for teaming up with Ross. The whole thing just reeks of plot device, and any old excuse is good enough to have Aaron make some dodgy deal. She probably can't work for some time after her diagnosis and Diane might threaten to push for compensation (only for them to make up at Christmas), all things which can be sorted in an episode or two if necessary.

It also fits with the café scenes. I expect that photo of Diane in the hospital waiting room is the scene where she first sees Gordon.

I remember the café scenes are supposedly due to air on the 21st but I expect they've got the dates slightly wrong and it's the week before.

I can't wait to see the dynamic between Aaron and his father.

Unless Diane sees Gordon and then he reaches out to Aaron/Chas the week of the 14th but Diane sees him again the week after? Then again, maybe Diane doesn't even mention to Aaron/Chas she saw Gordon, not at first at least? Them at the café could be Gordon explaining to Diane why he stayed away?

Duncan posted on Twitter about getting spoilers tomorrow night at midnight... I think with the mags being released Saturday, I guess soap spoilers are coming out earlier too

Two video previews are up on STV's site, the one for Tuesday is Robert warning Andy that Aaron is suspicious.

Basically Robert tells Andy that Aaron's suspicious and they think Robert's shooter was actually after Chas, but that he told him they can't have (which is probably why Aaron is suspicious afterwards). Andy asks why he said that and Robert says to stop him digging and that Aaron's too worried about his mum anyway. Andy says that Aaron won't let it drop and that Robert has to shut him down and walks off, and Robert's left looking a bit puzzled (probably because Andy is so worked up over it).

The one for Monday is Chrissie/Lawrence talking about Robert's testimony with Lachlan listening in.

I was literally watching like..."Where the hell's Robert?!"

I appreciate that his focus is on Diane, but given that he knows nothing of her involvement at this point, i'm annoyed that Robert took her mention of Chas as an opportunity to make a dig at her. Again appreciate focus on his 'mum' but i would have hoped that rather than a dig at the mention of Chas he might instead maybe make a comment about how Aaron must be worried or something (give they think she has been taken at this point).

But that's obviously just Robron based hopes. Know it would have been too much.
