He wasnt seriously ill either and had just spent a magical day with his mum which made the last scene even more effective. Honestly awed by the acting and writing tonight. Exceptional drama not just Soap.
Completely agree. Now there had just better not be some HO style crappy affair in the middle of this storyline. Ryan Hawley needs to bring his A game. If they have change Robert a bit in an unrealistic way I don't care. Just do it - don't ruin all this wonderful work.

The part that got the lump in my throat was when Chas mentioned fish and chips Aarons face, just shows what can trigger a memory
That is why Danny is brilliant, he reacts with his face so well you know exactly what he is feeling.

I remember one episode he was in when had NO lines but his performance spoke volumes....it was the day after Adam saw him and Jackson kiss the first time and Adam was trying to talk to Aaron but Aaron didn't say anything but you could tell by his face how he was reacting to what was being said.

Danny is able to feel, breathe and live Aaron Livesy and is sublime.

The way he described that first time to Chas was so intimate and he possibly could only have spoken about it with his mum in that way, as she shares his history with Gordon. For us to see Chas being shown the full picture, they wouldn't have had time for him to tell her about that night, the night his childhood ended, in the way he did tonight and I would not have wanted to loose that. I think they got it right.
What a great way to describe that scene. Yes it was just the way it should have been.

After tonight's amazing but heartbreaking episode i think i need to cheer myself up, so i'm going to create a Robron playlist, so any song suggestions from you guys are welcome, what songs reminds you of/makes you think of Robert and Aaron?
One song that instantly gets me is the song that was playing during the very first Robron kiss trailer/promo.

That First kiss though....

I have a lot in mind.

"Stand by you " by Rachel Platten

"Nothings gonna change my love for you" a very old one and cheesy but so much emotions

"sometimes when we touch" Dan Hill

"I'll stand by you" Pretenders

When are the next big awards in England. If they are viewer vote ones you can often vote from abroad, although not sure they intend that but I always try any links posted hate. abrightyz usually leads to the right place or me to the wrong one

Also during the time Robron were more turbulent and they kept trying to cut ties with each other Gin Wigmores Written in the water is awesome and fun and fitting.

The longlist for the British Soap Awards will be out soon. The winner of the shortlist gets decided between viewer votes and a Soap Panel. Danny needs to win.

I totally agree, its his expressions and the way he plays it. You can almost feel the emotion coming from him. I remember the Jackson days, hes come such a long way.

Duncan has posted an article about the '10 things that happen next' after Chas finds out about the abuse.
He says "8. You will get very angry – especially at one point
We are expecting major Twitter explosions sometime on Thursday night"
I hope it's not too bad

It's old but I love this video - it shows Danny being lovely and also his smile! We need to see that again - the scenes in the first part of tonight were great - Aaron smiling and being cheeky with Chas.

I feel like a few of those things in the beach scenes weren't scripted. I've been watching and i feel like the bit where aaron says "it is freezing though" when he's taking his boots off wasn't actually in the script, it's just their giggles right after, especially Lucy's. I could be wrong though.

I think there was a comment on the main forum last week questioning whether Danny could pull off lighthearted scenes. I think the first half of tonight's episode more than proved he can. In fact I'd say the Aaron at the beach laughing and joking is probably like Danny in real life so he's definitely capable.

The saddest thing about tonight's episode is we saw how happy Aaron could have been if Chas had taken him with her when she left.

What a silly comment it is they made then. Granted, it's not happened regularly but Aaron's had a plenty of light-hearted scenes in his time in the show before. Have they been watching for 5 minutes?

He's often had lighthearted stuff with the likes of Adam and Paddy.

I've always loved it when Aaron's sarcastic. It was lovely to see him properly happy in the earlier scenes tonight.

Think watching Lucy's portrayal over the next episodes will be interesting.Trying to play a mother coming to terms with the news that the man she loved did that to their own little boy must have been hard and draining for Lucy.I think she will do it justice

Its not Danny that can't pull off lighthearted scenes. Its not as if Danny is just playing a version of himself. Aaron the character they've created is not a very happy person. I think its an iconic soap character played by a great actor.
