I feel like a few of those things in the beach scenes weren't scripted. I've been watching and i feel like the bit where aaron says "it is freezing though" when he's taking his boots off wasn't actually in the script, it's just their giggles right after, especially Lucy's. I could be wrong though.

Re. the Robron playlist, please can I put forward for inclusion: 'Redemption' - The Strange Familiar............ "my eyes are slowly opened and I see that in you there is a good heart, there is a good soul" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7qCFQ4sqBU and (again): 'When You've Got Trouble' - Liz Longley......... (especially for how things are right now) "oh my darling we're so delicately inter-twined.....oh my heart, my heart is tangled all around you, when you've got trouble I've got trouble too" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKE2w5Z5dPw and because I continue to live in hope (as we all should!!!) |

Yeah I really believed the bank loan one. I think she assumed Gordon would come back but rang the bank manager in case. She always has had history of putting BF's before her son. She'll make up for it from tonight though so I forgive her.
I don't know why but I could see ED pairing her with Paddy again. I dont think banks give loans to ppl awaiting sentence or on a suspended sentence (as they may go to prison and not repay) - so thinking there is more to it, unless they are going to 'soap' over that one |

Hi Edey! welcome to the family
![]() I just re-watched the scene 'cos I thought the first time was just the shock of watching it for the first time but I couldn't handle it, it was just too real and sad. I don't think I've ever felt this much sadness over a fictional character. |

Holy cow it was harder watching Aaron tell Chas what Gordan did to him
WIth Robert, even with all of the speculation it was still shocking and hard to process, he was so young and helpless, but he went into so much more detail about that first time when he told Chaz. Between his sobbing and Chaz fighting so hard to keep her feelings under control so she can be there for Aaron...idk how I got through that scene without sobbing myself. |

We've survived a marriage, two hundred break ups, Aaron tied up and held at gunpoint, threats, fights, Aaron forcing Rob out of the closet, Robert trying to win Chrissie Back, that bit at the scrapyard where he twisted the knife in every wound Aaron has ever had and now this.
One measly character won't shake my faith in our (admittedly f-ed up) boys ![]() I completely agree with you |

So true. This is just a very different storyline than those. This a much more realistic storyline. I can't see after tonight a tawdry affair or hitman or something like that. Robert will be some version of the character that might actually exist not an ott soap villain.

Aahhhh ok. I've got confused with all these spoiler dates.
![]() I still think that a further assault is possible and that this is why 'twitter outrage' is expected. I hope I'm wrong, just thinking out aloud. But Danny was magnificent last night - I have never seen any actor give such a remarkable performance of angst and sadness and loneliness so well. I wish a few others would be inspired by him and bring depth to their own characters even half as well (Kirin for example) |

There must be a further twist on the pub sale. |

I don't think Gordon would dare try to sexually assault Aaron again - after all, Aaron is a grown man now, and Gordon appears to be interested in children, and if he did try it, Aaron's years of loathing and anger would boil over. Also, Gordon is clever - he already had the "False Memory Syndrome" excuse off pat, so you can be sure he will be on his guard even more now.
But Danny was magnificent last night - I have never seen any actor give such a remarkable performance of angst and sadness and loneliness so well. I wish a few others would be inspired by him and bring depth to their own characters even half as well (Kirin for example) And I whole heartily second your whole second paragraph! Danny was phenomenal!!

Stick with me on this because it isn't nice. Aaron has always regarded Paddy as his dad ("Thanks for everything, - dad" ) was his last words to Paddy before he left in 2012. Just a couple of weeks ago, when Aaron found out about Paddy's fling with the schoolteacher he told him "you're supposed to be my dad!".
They have really taken Paddy down the road to being almost a dirty old man, presumably to take the audiences estimation of Paddy down. I wonder if Gordon will try to suggest Paddy abused Aaron and has "transferred" the blame onto him?. We KNOW that would be absolute nonsense of course, but to a devious man facing years in prison as a nonce, and having had FMS in reserve, who knows what he might try?. Remember a few years ago Hazel (Jackson's mum) made a comment about a teenage boy living alone with an unmarried man, and when the police officer came to see Paddy after Aaron's attack, I remember her saying that Paddy "lived with" Aaron. Its an unpleasant scenario, but there are always villagers willing to think the worst of everyone: if some people felt Aaron would have shot Robert, what else might they think others are capable of? |

Perhaps a new character? We know its a nice female dingle I think. Distant relative?
Correct me if I'm wrong. It would be a good opportunity to introduce new blood. I think the ideal and most logical thing would be for Robert to take half the pub - he I think would be the ideal publican - sharp, bit of a lad, essentially cheerful, also quite young so he could stay around for a few years. As Ryan IRL has moved from London to nearer the studios, I would imagine his future is secure - and I hope Danny stays in the show for years. Perhaps in time, Chas might give her share of the pub to Aaron so Robert and Aaron could be real partners? |

With all due respect, I think a lot of the new introductions haven't been great: Emma, Ross, Rashid, the understated Kirin etc.....

Robert owning the pub would be great but I think the spoilers we have had already rule that out unfortunately. |

Is this about what Gordon tells Chas??
Do u know the stuff he says? Ugh I dread. I think in most historical cases like this the abuser only gets sent down if they plead guilty and then they get a lesser sentence for admitting it. Wrong I know but I think this is what happens in real life. I'm hoping for Chas and Robert to bond a little over this. It would be sweet for Aaron's Mum and potential boyfriend to actually start to get a long. |

Perhaps Diane will change her mind about selling the pub.
