Yeah I agree with this.I think we might find that Robert is the main one who will be there for Aaron in the coming months through all this Chas,Gordon,possible self-harming stuff and there will be a gradual build up of trust

What on earth is he on about?!

In recent interviews with him, there's been a sense of him not having a clue what's going on with his character or anything else going on in the show. And does anyone get a sense that Mike's a little bit jealous/peeved with the success of our boys? When he speaks about them, he never really has anything good to say about them? Now that might just be him joking, but I don't get that with him.

This Paddy storyline is so awful ... AS IF!!!

I feel disappointed that there is no indication that Aaron will get involved in finding out the truth about the shooting. He deserves to know given he did time for it!

The thing which really annoys me about that interview with Mike is that he come across that he thinks he's the big bollocks now just because he's got a couple of awards & he's in pretty much every storyline. I don't know why but I just feel as if he comes across as quite the arrogant so & so. And it also seems he doesn't take into account what's going on in the show & what's happening with other characters; as if it's all "me, me, me." I'm sorry, but I don't like that at all.

I hope Robert shoots him and I hope he's a better shot than Ross was a few weeks ago.

I think it is strange but quite funny mike saying that-he does like to wind people up it seems and he comes across like that a lot.He probably knows the Robron fans will get all up in arms about it lol.He is very sarcastic in general

Yeah I think he was probably intending to wind people up with that interview. I've learnt not to take anything he says to seriously, if you look at his Twitter it's mostly just random banter.

This paddy affair is just plain awful.

Something is making me think part of this affair is a robron favour, basically paddy will be more understanding & accepting about robron in the future as he will be in no position to judge Aaron for going back to robert, although paddy knows what robert's done & all the lodge stuff so I suppose he can be disappointed with Aaron for that, i just feel there's more too this cheating SL with him.

Maybe my love for Robron is just deluding me idk it's just very random & out of character for me I feel like this SL will shed abit of light once Aaron starts getting drawn back to robert.

I think that's part of it but I also think it's partly to isolate Aaron more. He'll be struggling when his dad comes back and as that story develops down whatever dark path there is waiting for him, Paddy would often be his go to person, but he will be distracted with his own problems and Aaron might not feel he can confide in him the same. So he wouldn't have his usual support structure. This could be a contributing factors if he starts to self harm again.

Mike Parr's comment's just make you want to roll your eyes! Honestly! I think he sometimes comes across as having a bit of a ego but he's always been a bit misleading and bit of a wind up merchant especially how he mislead his fans over the fake death s/l.

Sadly I think Emmerdale themselves take the same view that Ross is a misunderstood bad boy that doesn't deserve much of a comeuppance while Robert is viewed more of as a manipulative devil incarnate even in articles about the pair this type of distinction between them is there Ross gets scenes with April/Moses for the ah factor to show his good side despite the fact his acts are far more sickening - hate it.

I'm finding the Paddy stuff comfortable to watch but you can't say it is totally out of character for him Rhona is his 3rd wife & he cheated on both his previous wife's Mandy & Emily too but there is just something off with him now though I can't put my finger on it. I'll always love his relationship with Aaron though annoyed at his recent hypocrisy & I'm interested to see what his attitude will be to Gordon.

I believe there's definitely a reason the show have decided to take paddy down this pacific path, it makes sense to create some more drama for Aaron as paddy might not be there for him properly with his own problems & that leaves Aaron abit isolated, & also in the long for robron as paddy will certainly be no saint & even tho he'll never forget the things robert has done but will be able to at least understand the affair side of things.
