The best thing about ED tonight is that it was an hour's ep without the need for stunts. It was a character-driven ep. It didn;t need stabbings, car crashes or shootings to impress its audience. I really loved tonight's ep

Aaron looked hot af and Chrissie can just sod off
Yeah I totally agree-was a good episode and these are my favourite types

How HAWT did Aaron look tonight?

I loved him being all caring towards his Mum....

Will he twig that he caught her sleepwalking??

The Andy ring thing would of been more emotive if it wasn't for the fact he gave his and Katie's rings to Sarah and Jack before Katie's funeral. So...
I really feel for Andy

Agreed. Far more episodes like this are required and far fewer of the other sort.

I loved the episode, Aaron looked absolutely gorgeous in that back jumper shame Robert couldn't of seen him, and boo to Andy taking his wedding ring off before Robert. I loved seeing Aaron caring for his mum reminded me of his doing the same for Jackson definite parallels there, love caring Aaron so much.

Aaron & Chas have certainly come a long way in their relationship I liked Cain's involvement too. Though not looking forward so much to the stabbing as I've had it with these near death plot of the week stories I am looking forward to them all rallying around Chas later in the week after the event.
I agree-love seeing Aaron and Chas together and Cain too-however they're setting it all up like this I think only to pull them apart again with Gordon's arrival

lolz!! nearly choked there laughing
She's so bitter, they could sell her in a pub .

She is one! She may not have been doing all the things she has been accused off but she has done some very questionable things in the past, and has been a bit of a bunny boiler....
Well I don't think it's right to belittle peoples mental health and I'd be saying the same if a character called Robert or Aaron a fruit loop as well.

Tonights ep gave me serious Aarson flashbacks with the way Aaron was being all caring and mature and looking after Chas. It's so cute and endearing to see him that way. I love it so much.

Totally agree. This is the side of Aaron that is not shown much, but you know it's there....that what makes him such a well rounded character which Danny plays to perfection.

Exactly my point.....I don't think she is mentally ill, she's just an awful person.....I know she tried to kill Ross but that could have been post natal depression I guess but what she did to Chas in the past is nothing to do with mental illness it's such selfish behavior IMO.

Ah, good catch DTK. You'd think ED would have someone on staff to catch these sorts of inconsistencies. I won't go on about it but it drives me mad when they make mistakes like that or make things disappear rather than explain what's happened (Scrappy's fate, anyone? Aaron's weapons charge?).

I have a totally random, off-topic question: does anyone know Aaron's middle name? Also, is Robert's middle name Jacob? I watched Aaron's numerous court appearances expecting to hear his middle name there but didn't hear it mentioned. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes Robert's middle name is Jacob.

Scrappy is still around I guess just not seen.

Aaron's weapon charge can't be proven that it was in his possession, all that video proved was that he knew about it. The police know it was in the HF safe and that it got stolen so it could have been left at the SY where Aaron found it .

Same, but I do think she can get a bit psychotic with her plans and schemes from time to time.

I'm so glad they're giving Lucy more to do recently. She's an amazing actress, I was truly feeling bad for Chas as she's looking more and more desperate every day

So Gordon is turning up the week beginning December 14th...

30th - 4th - Stabbing aftermath
7th - 11th - Quiet Week
14th - 18th - Gordon arrival/Warehouse stuff?
21st - 25th - Something with Gordon/Diane at a café/Warehouse stuff?

Can't see the Ross/Aaron stuff being any later than that.

I think both Gordon's arrival and the Aaron/Ross stuff will be covered in the upcoming two week mags I'd say, but just a guess.

I loved Aaron so much tonight!! Watch this episode with him and Chas compared to any episode 2009 it's incredible. Aaron's loyalty and care for those for those he loves is the best thing about him!

Chrissie is unhinged! I know she's been broken by Robert but she was crazy before she found out about Robron.. What she did to Donny! I really want Bernice to be a character witness at her trial and Robert to sell her out. I wish Chas told her the real reason she never told her about Robron which was because she thought she might kill her son. Chrissie talks about Bernice when she has thrown herself at 3 men during her time in the village. She's really just bitter that her husband preferred a bit of rough to her so she's sticking her nose in.. Rant over. I hate Chrissie!

Can't see the Ross/Aaron stuff being any later than that as it was filmed a while ago now and before the café stuff was filmed (a week or two after wasn't it?)

Luckily, both Gordon's arrival and the Aaron/Ross stuff will likely be covered in the upcoming two week mags I'd say.
same week

enjoyed tonight's episode, it is nice to see a more caring side to Aaron. Bernice and Lawrence feel for them both, you can understand why Chrissie is so protective of her dad and suspicious and at least she told him about it all straight away rather than drag it out.

I am not certain on it but I remember them being discussed around the same time on here.

Michael Parr says that it is a happy Christmas for Debbie and Ross but probably not a happy year so whatever the consequences of their plan going wrong it must hit in the week leading up to new year.

Duncan at Metro has stated that Aaron and Ross teaming up will have unfortunate consequences.

But if Debbie and Ross have a happy Christmas the consequences can't be that bad surely? It's definitely going down before Christmas as the mag that first mentioned it spoke about Ross wanting money to buy presents for Debbie's kids. Unless of course like suggested those consequences aren't immediate.

Although knowing Emmerdale, Ross will get off fine and dandy and it'll be Aaron that has to deal with the unfortunate consequences, as always

I'm so glad it's all gonna go tits up for Ross at New Year
